Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
The two bears in this gentle board book are based on Woodours teddy bears created by French toymaker Ebulobo. The fabric, folk-art style bears appear in photo collages with digital embellishments, touch-and-feel textures, and a tender rhyme: “Little Bear, Little Bear, look up high./ Hello, says Bird in the sky.” Eye-catching patterns, color combinations, and textural elements create surprises on every page. Up to age 3. (Apr.)

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
I suppose this book could join a few others such as Guess How Much I Love You and I Love You As Much. It is another sweet story of the love shown between a parent and a child. In this case it a bear and the parent could be either a father or mother. The duo head out for a walk and along the way encounter a variety of animal friends—a fish with orange scales (although this is a touch and feel book most items have a similar feel). Then they spot a bluebird high in the sky and next a fluffy squirrel in a tree. Soon the day draws to an end with the parent exclaiming "Little bear, Little bear, I love you!" The illustrator has created creatures out of stuffed animals so there is no attempt at reality. The back cover offers websites to find out more about the "bears." Part of the "Woodours" series.
