Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Just looking at this cloth book raised some questions—what is the purpose of the colorful ribbons. According to the copy that comes with the book—"I Love You is modeled after the ultra-popular Taggles fleece blankets . . . " It also has lots of colorful tags for children to rub and tug. There is a good dea of tactile quality which far overshadows the simple text. "I love Mommy, Mommy loves me/I love Daddy, Daddy loves me/I love you, you love me." The pleasure here is the touch. Another title in the "Sweet Dreams" series. 204, Scholstic, Ages 3 mo. to 18 mo.

    I Also Recommend:

I was looking for a book for my 3 month old son to have at daycare and this is absolutely perfect!!!

When I began packing items for my son to have with him at daycare it was very emotional for me. I wanted him to know how much I love him all day long and was really struggling with having to leave him. I was looking for something familiar and soothing that he could have with him during the day. I was also looking for a book he could take and keep at the daycare. This Taggies book is exactly what I was looking for! The story is simple - I love Mommy, Mommy loves me; I love Daddy, Daddy loves me; I love you, you love me. It's the perfect story for his primary care-giver to read. Besides the story, the book is made of the softest material with various textures sewn in, so it gives the baby something to grasp and feel. The "taggies" on the end are various textures and colors and available for gumming by babies shoving everything in their mouths. I can't say enough what an adorable book it is. We are reading it all the time now so when he goes to daycare in a few weeks it will be a familiar piece of home with him and the message will be there - I love Mommy and Mommy loves me.

One thing that is great about this book is the fact it is washable! So if it gets slobbered on or shared at daycare, just throw it in a pillowcase and put it in washer and then the dryer.

This would also be a good book for any kind of sitter or maybe a grandparent to read. Definitely a good gift, too.

Love, love, love it. It's the kind of book that will be stored in a chest one day for me to remember this time in his life. It will probably be in tatters from all the use he will get out it though.

    It makes sense!

I bought this for my granddaughter - she was always grabbing tags on things and putting them in her mouth. Here is the perfect book just for her. It washes up very easily also. This was very clever - I know some Mom thought of it. The story is also cute.
