Overview

New York editor falls for a country vicar while on assignment in England!

Life is definitely coming together for Marcella Tartaglia-New York City, an exciting publishing career with a major lifestyle magazine, the BIG promotion. She's on assignment in England and open to a weekend fling, especially when the perfect hottie roars up on his motorcycle outside the church at her ex-boss's wedding.

Too bad William don't do flings. The Reverend William Stafford is a blue-blooded country vicar in want of a wife and a real danger to a woman like Marcella who can't afford to lose her heart in England when all her dreams are waiting an ocean away.

Still, Marcella and William explore their mutual attraction only to realize their lives are headed in different directions. Marcella hails from a small ethnic neighborhood with a determination to work her way to the top of her profession in America's most exciting city. And although the Honorable William John Anthony Grafton Stafford, being the third son of an English viscount, comes from a titled British family, he's chosen the simple life as a vicar of a small parish in a Cotswold village. A weekend isn't nearly long enough to resolve a possible future together. All they know is that they're really starting to feel something....

From the pastoral Cotswolds to the fast-paced magazine publishing world of New York, I Only Want To Be With You is a smart, witty, romantic comedy about one modern woman's struggle to make the ultimate choice between her personal dreams and the call of her heart.

"...sweet and sincere. A defanged Prada by way of a more innocent Bridget Jones."
- PUBLISHERS WEEKLY

[Norato's] "updated vicar and tart theme (see protagonist's name) makes this story unique...the novel is entertaining and will please romance readers and Anglophiles alike."
- BOOKLIST

"An entertaining tale, I Only Want To Be With You features a woman on the verge of getting everything she's ever wanted only to start wondering if she's making the right choices...With two people so committed to their careers, is there a way for love to prevail?" - ROMANCE REVIEWS TODAY

"I Only Want To Be With You is a modern romance that's part Sophie Kinsella and part Helen Fielding, but with an American twist...a must-read for any woman who has a bit of Bridget Jones and a bit of Carrie Bradshaw in her. Bring it with you to the beach and use it to surreptitiously scope out the object of your affection."
- PROVIDENCE MONTHLY MAGAZINE

"...dialogue dazzled. I felt like I was eavesdropping on a conversation." - Blanche Marriott, author of His Brother’s Baby

I read Lisa Norato's other book, Prize of my Heart first and was thrilled to devour more books by the same author.  Unfortunately, I was in for a surprise.  This book has a good plot but swearing and more sexual suggestiveness.  I was happy to see that some boundaries were not crossed but the reason was not high morals, but job obligations.  Prize of My Heart had a lot more meaty characters and plot twists, but I Only Want to be with You  was entertaining if you don't mind a little naughtiness.  I won't be letting my teen read it, though.

Very funny, sometimes moving, and always lively romantic comedy.

Lisa Norato tells the story from the both Marcella's and William's points of view, which makes her book an appealing choice for readers of both sexes. She managed to keep me in suspense, wondering how (or if!) they were going to make their relationship work. The book is filled with unexpected, laugh-out-loud funny scenes. Lisa Norato is a bright new author who writes with style and substance. I can't wait for her next book!

    a sweet tale

In Manhattan Gracious Living magazine associate Marcella Tartaglia dreams of running the publication sometime in the near future. In the meantime, the assiduously hard working Marcella does whatever is assigned to her and more. Her current project is to report on the wedding of the magazine's departing senior editor a job that Marcella wants with every ambitious cell in her body.----------- In England for the nuptials, Marcella meets gorgeous biker ¿bad boy¿ William Stafford, the son of an aristocrat. However her initial impression proves false as William is a vicar. They are immediately attracted to one another, but he rejects the notion of a weekender. Instead he knows he loves her and proposes marriage under the condition that she joins his world as a vicar¿s wife. Having doubts that she can perform as expected of the spouse of a minister and unable to give up on her plans to run the magazine, she flees back across planning to bury herself at work.--------------- This cross Atlantic contemporary romance is a sweet tale starring two fully developed likable individuals who believe their choices are all or nothing. The lead couple drives the story line as love does not seem enough for them to make it. Readers will wonder whether Marcella will give up her dream to be to with the man she dreams of, find a compromise solution with her beloved, or give up on their relationship as being impossible.------------ Harriet Klausner
