I purchased this book for two reasons: (1)In about 1964, the author gave me the only "F" I ever received on a test and (2)I am very interested in Norwegian immigrant history. I have forgiven him for the deserved "F" & did enjoy reading this family history. There are many good ideas in this book for anyone writing a family history. It portrays the struggles that early immigrants faced living in isolated rural areas and presents good insight into the social, cultural and religious difficulties so many immigrant families deal with even today. The author has done a good job of weaving his family's history into the times in which they lived. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
