Around the same time, a developer from the big city is hell-bent on dragging the small community into the "modern era." To do this, he needs to purchase land from the older residents. But soon, a number of the town's older citizens begin dying and, at first, all of the deaths appear to be unfortunate accidents or suicide. Police officer Hank struggles with what he perceives to be clues to the deaths and his hatred for the developer. Why are the town's older people dying? Who is behind their deaths? And how far will Hank and the community go to protect their small-town life?
