Editorial Reviews

VOYA
In this third installment of the popular series Christy and Todd—The College Years, Christy Miller and Todd Spencer are engaged to be married. As the wedding draws near, however, Christy begins to doubt whether they really are suited for each other. Todd wants an early wedding date, but practical Christy wants to wait until they both graduate from college and have saved some money. Their love for each other and never-ending faith helps them to see through their differences and make it down the aisle. Fans of the other titles in the series will enjoy this conclusion to Christy and Todd's romance. The author has included many characters from her earlier stories involving Christy, perhaps paving the way for her next series. It is not necessary, however, to read the other titles to follow the difficulties of the newly engaged couple and their friends. Although the conflicts are minimal and often too easily resolved, fans will be asking for this final installment, especially in libraries that own other titles in the series. The idealistic characters and Gunn's soothing writing style will appeal to young adults age twelve and up who are looking to enjoy a simple romance. Meet the Author

Robin Jones Gunn has a passion for communicating God's love to young hearts. She began writing story books for toddlers when her children were little. Her husband, Ross, has been a youth minister for over twenty years. While on a camping trip with teens from their youth group, Robin found some of the girls hiding away in their tent reading a stack of novels they'd brought with them from the library.

Curious as to what could keep these girls away from the sun, surf and guys, Robin borrowed three of their books. As she read them, her heart broke. They were not the kinds of stories these girls should be reading! After the camping trip Robin went to her Bible bookstore and bought every book she could find that she thought would be interesting for the girls and have a good influence on them. The teens read all the books in a week and asked for more. "There aren't any more," Robin told them. "That was all I could find." The teens challenged Robin by saying, "Then you write some for us. We'll even tell you what to write!"

She has now written over 50 books, including THE CHRISTY MILLER SERIES, which has sold more than one million copies. A storyteller at heart, she is also a popular speaker and an active youth worker. Robin lives with her family in Oregon.

This a great book about christy miller (spencer)and todd spencers relationship in good and bad times i wish and hope robin gunn jones writes more about christy and todd spencers life together after their marriage also about doug and tracy's baby danny and every ones kids. Also i hope she writes more about katie and ricks growing relationship and if they get married because katies series only has one book and i want to read the aierra jenson series it looks good. I REALLY HOPE Robin Gunn Jones WRITES MORE ABOUT TODD AND CHRISTY SPENCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope whoever reads this review will read the Christy Miller collection and the christy and todd college years series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my fav series between the christy miller collection and the christy and todd college years ive ever read in my life and i hope the author writes more about this couple but you have to read the christy miller collection to really get the christy and todd college years series cause a lot of it is based on the collection like christys engagement ring is based on how they fell in love which is in the collection I hope you read these books !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book shows Christy and Todd preparing for their upcoming wedding. Christy's wealthy aunt Marty is paying for her wedding and provides her opinion on how her wedding should be. Christy's planning personality also clashes with Todd's laid back personality. It is a hilarious look at how a young couple prepares for their upcoming wedding. It is also an escapist book since not every young girl will meet their future husband when they are fourteen years old and marries them right out of college. Since this book is written for young women there are not any characters who marry later in life in the book or who are still unmarried searching for their future spouse. I do like the fact that Todd and Christy are serious about maintaining their purity and waiting until their wedding night to have sex for the first time. This is rare today in young couples, even Christian couples.

Great ending to a great series! Finally Christy will become Mrs. Christina Juliette Spencer!! The book is so sweet and amazing. I have to say that I love Todd so much. And Rick too. He used to be such a jerk but to see how the Lord really worked on his life (to use both Doug and Katie's words) is such an awesome God-thing! To kind of see how Todd and Christy's married life goes and to catch up with Doug and Tracy's son, Danny, read the Katie Weldon series. Those are totally awesome reads, too. Lastly I would like to thank Mrs. Gunn for writing these books for Christian teen girls (or non-Christian teen girls). Anyway, I would like to say that these books have been a real blessing and ministry to me throughout the years. Thank you.

The Christy Miller Series by Robin Jones Gunn is a very good series for teenage girls. I really like the books, but the last two book in the College Years were slightly a drag. Things just got to be really boring. Christy's emotional rollercoaster she always seemed to be on got really annoying and...as much as I loved Todd in the first twelve books...he became a little bland. The same adjective is used for his eyes throughout the whole series: screaming blue eyes. That got on my nerves. I did like how the author stressed the importance of purity. But, I must say the only reason I read this book was just so I could be done with the series.

I loved this book and hated it all at the same time! I hated seeing an ending to the series!!!!! I fell in love with not only Christy and Todd but the entire gang. These books got me through high school and i could never put them down. My mom had to limit me to one book a week because i was spending so much money on the series, sierra jensen and the Glenbrook series (which i also loved!!). Their story makes me so happy i might cry just thinking about it. I loved these books and i hope you do as well... You will grow to love each character and get mad at them as well...you will feel as though you have known these characters for years and they are some of your closest friends. May you enjoy any and every book that RJG writes! I know I have.

Robin Jones Gunn is a very inspiring writer and I hope to meet her someday. I love all her books and they are full of great surprises I would never expect!!!! I love they way Robin makes the verses of the bible encoringing stories about every thing friendship, love, and God.When she wrote about christy saving her kisses for the right time, told me I should do the same thing. When I started reading this series it gave me hope to start my life over again in a better way.I want to say thankyou Robin for writing such wonderful books you are an inspiration and you are a truly a gifted writer. I'm hoping you will be able to write more books as encourging as the others!!

I loved this series, whatching Christy and her friends from the very begging! I recomend reading this book after you read all the ones before it,because you will love these books so much more if you read them from the begging! Trust me,I cried at the end of this book, because I had gotten so attached to Christy and her friends, and wanted more!

I've been reading the Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen Series' since I was 12 years old. I'm now 17. I couldn't have imagined what it would've been like to grow up not having these books. God has truly given Robin an amazing gift. Her books are full of inspiration, hope, and the gift of God's love.

This was the best book ever!! I wish it wasn't the last of the series! I wanted to see their married life; how many kids, the struggles, etc. I wanted to know if Katie ended up marrying Rick. Well, I wish Robin would keep the series going, but at least this series ended great!!

THis book was absolutely the best book in the whole series. I have read all the Christy Miller books and it was wonderful to see it all end with her and Todd getting married. I only wish life were really like that. It gives hope to young couples that having God in your life all things are possible. I really want to know the rest of the story. Like how many kids they are going to have and if Rick and Katie are going to get married. PLEASE RJG write more on Todd, Christy and the rest of the gang.

I loved this book sooooooo much! I've been waiting almost as long as Christy has for the two of them to get married. I almost started to cry through their wedding. I can't believe that this is the last book! It can't end here!!!! It has to keep going until they like grow old and die or something.I recommend this book to anyone that has ever read any of the books from this series.
