All Music Guide - Ron Wynn
Shirley Caesar's poignant rembrances of her mother set the stage for this album that mixed sentimental fare with rocking evangelism and surging performances. No Golden Age gospel artists have been more successful at retaining their zeal while adapting to contemporary production and arranging tendencies than Caesar. She doesn't compromise her lyrical message, but will hold still for electronics, strings, and even an occasional funk backbeat. This resulted in another hit album for a gospel legend.

I love you "Mama" Shirley Caesar

Dear "Mama" Shirley Caesar, I just want you to know that you are one of my favorite gospel singer at all times. I love to hear your anointing powerful voice as you open your mouth and sing your heart out about the love of Jesus. I've have seen you in concert many times. "Mama" Shirley I can tell you are truly blessed by God as one of his chosen vessel. I love to hear your voice. I have most of your music. I have met you more than once and taken pictures with you. I know that you don't know who I am, because you meet so many people as you go on your journey spreading the good news about Jesus Christ. You know that's alright because God knows us better than we know ourselves. "Mama" Shirley you are a real down to earth person and you will go a long ways in life. I have sent you greeting cards on some occasions and gifts just as well. I hope to visit you at your church. I'm just like you without a mother and father who went home to be with the Lord. I will see them again in the rapture one day. Well this is all for now and hope to hear from you soon. I will be praying for you. Would you please pray for me to have a closer walk with God and my brother who is a diabetic. "Mama" Shirley you are extraordinary. When will you come out with a new CD and video? Love your sister in Christ, Kay Walton
