Hand Jean Marzollo's I Spy to where's-Waldo enthusiasts or their ilk, they'll find themselves as entranced by the sites of the objects they seek as the hunt itself. For example, they must spy a "spaghetti-sauce face" and a "snowcapped place" on a bulletin board encrusted with snapshots, children's art, and similar pinups; and a "small silver jack" and a "blue thumbtack" hidden among the miniatures and curios ensconced in twenty cubbyholes. The toys, party disguises, and other assorted objects in Walter Wick's margin-to-margin, sharply focused photographs seem life-size from lap distance, spread as they are across two pages of this oversize (9 1/4- x 12 1/4-inch) volume. Besides being a source of searches, the objects make superb storystarters for otherwise uninspired writers.

    This book was so wonderful

    I worked with my five yr. old to find the hidden pictures believe it or not he did better then I did! I strongly recommend this book for anyone looking for a fun way to spend an hour or more with your kids!

    I am using this book in my classroom, my students love I Spy books and the collection of them was in great shape.

    Good even for my 2 year old

    The age range about says 4-8, but I find the book applicable even for my two-year-old. He can't read yet, and I think he would have a difficult time finding what the riddles say to find. However, we work with him by pointing out certain objects, numbers, letters, and colors. He also enjoys looking at the pictures and finding things he recognizes.

    Where's Waldo?

    Terrific for all ages!

    I have a three and a six year old who insist upon looking at this book every evening before bed. It varies in difficulty, and some of the items I still have yet to find. The photos are colorful and the arrangement and composition of the objects are well done. The book's longevity goes a long way since other objects can be named for your kids to find. This is much less challenging than the Where's Waldo series, yet still entertaining for readers of all ages. There are multiple volumes in the series. We have had ours for several months and still have not grown tired of it. And besides, if you put it down for a month or two, the kids will enjoy it again as if it were new!

    Fun, educational--even for adults!

    I first saw this book at my brother's house & read it with my 3 yr. old nephew. I was really impressed! Great pictures, rhymes, and word teasers make up the book. It is really unique and kids have a great time with it.

    Hours of FUN!

    This series of I SPY books are ours of fun for all the familly. Even Adults get in to this search and observation of multiple objects, and when you find them, and you go back to the book a few weeks later, you search all over again.
