Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The tried and true approach of a text with pictures of items to be found in each uses Thanksgiving as the focal point, although to this reviewer there really was not much relating to Thanksgiving. The closing pages feature quizzes to find matching words or words that start with a specific letter combination. To do that the child would have to be able to read. It seems like a mixed bag and really not a holiday specific title. A Level 1 book in the "Scholastic Reader" series targeted to grades Pre K to 1; Guided reading Level G and a word count of 220. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
