I Surrender All: 30 Classic Hymns

( 4 )

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Tim Griggs
Carmen is one of the most popular acts in contemporary Christian music, however, his appeal is a mystery. He is a passable vocalist, but a better singer could probably be found in any church choir. On this recording, he performs classic hymns, most in medley form. Some performances are hoaky, some are good -- especially the tracks with Christ Church Choir. Michael English and the late Chet Atkins also make appearances on this release. Carmen is okay at best, but he doesn't really surrender all when it comes to his performances on this album. God only knows why Carmen is so popular.

I'm glad I borrowed it from my Library

I don't like to waste my money on junky CDs. This is a very good one. I borrowed it from my Public Library - however, I'm ordering my own copy. Go ahead and buy one for yourself.

    A Must-Have To Any Collection

I've been a Christian ever since I was about 7 years old, and I can tell you, beyond any doubt, that if someone would listen to Carman's voice, they will be moved spiritually. I've felt the presence of our Lord many times in many of his songs, and I thank God for him and blessing him with such a wonderful gift. This album alone is a spiritual uplifter. It will make you feel reborn if you are a Christian. I'll always be one of Carman's biggest fans.

A "Must Have" for Your Praise and Worship Collection!

Remember those old hymns you were raised with at your denominational Christian church as a kid? How we loved those old hymns, but wished they could be sung just a bit differently! Only Carman could take those hymns and interpret them with a Spirit-inspired zip that will thrill your heart. This presentation does not take away from the original intent of each author's message, but gives the contemporary listener a brand new appreciation for the composer's heartfelt praise. Some hymns have been masterfully placed together medley style, making the blend most enjoyable. You will want to sing and dance around your house! I have bought many copies of this collection for friends. Every recipient has told of the memories in this music and the surge of joy from the heart after listening time after time. It is a marvelous introduction to contemporary Christian music.
