Editorial Reviews

Amazon Reviews - Arline Chase
“ASTOUNDING! Marjorie Doughty once again
writes a triumphant thriller.
”Action and danger abound in Doighty’s chilling
tale that illustrates yet again the “child abuse
leads to adult abuser” theme. Watch out for that
satisfying twist in the tale that provides plenty of
reader satisfaction.

Dancer and the Spirit Series, Spirit of Earth,
Spirit of Fire, etc.

Meet the Author

Vietnam was my first overseas post and I loved it. While there, I taught English at the Vietnamese American Association, was interim editor of the Vietnam Press, wrote a lengthy monthly newsletter for the American Woman’s Club, did editing for US-AID, and traveled whenever and wherever I could.

While living in upcountry Thailand and in Bangkok, as well as in rural Vietnam, I kept a journal of what I considered noteworthy events. Most of this story, however, is strictly from my imagination.

Although I studied Creative Writing in college, I worked as a newspaper editor in Maryland and in Saigon, and as a reporter for newspapers in north central Florida, the Florida Keys and Homestead, and on the Internet.

My career in writing actually began as a freshman at Glen Burnie High School in Maryland when the librarian, whose name I can’t remember, told me I should write. I entered a contest sponsored by the Baltimore Sun Newspaper and won first prize. I became hooked on words and find if I am not writing, I’m thinking of something to write.

I want to thank all my friends who have encouraged me to continue writing. Your encouragement has been great, and I shall never forget any of you.
