Destiny May Not Be Set In Stone, But At Least He's As Hard As A Rock

Erika Todd moved to New Orleans because she needed a change--and, well, yes, because that's what the fortune teller said she would do. Not that she'd admit that to many people. But so many of the psychic's predictions--about her work, even finding that stray black cat--have already come true. Now all the lonely sculptor needs is to meet and fall in love with the prophesized dark-eyed prince. . .

Reclusive musician Vittorio Ridgewood has a new neighbor he's been trying to avoid. Sure, she's gorgeous, but she's coming on strong, and the last thing the 200-year-old vampire needs is to get involved with another mortal. Especially since several of his former human paramours have lately been turning up dead. . .

Sensing the relentless beauty needs someone to watch over her, Vittorio agrees to sit for a sculpture, and their attraction to one another quickly ignites. But is passion even this hot worth dying for?

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly

Erika Todd moves to New Orleans to pursue her career as a sculptor, staying with friends Ren and Maggie. Ren's brother Vittorio, an enigmatic, attractive musician (and vampire), shows up to stay with them, too; after a rocky start, Ericka and Vittorio cannot suppress their mutual attraction for one another. That draws the wrath of Vittorio's insane mother, Orabella, who has been hunting and killing her son's mortal lovers for decades, and sets the plot-son and lover with conflicted loyalties-in motion. Orabella is deliciously psychotic, but there's little beyond her in this familiar tale of Big Easy haunting. (Sept.)

    I Also Recommend:

I really enjoyed this book, but not very HOT

I love Kathy Loves books, but this one was kind of flat compared to the Fang books. It had it's moments, and the characters are likeable, but I prefer more in the HOT department and this one just didn't get me there from here. It's a good read and I would recomend it for a rainy day and the series is good overall, and Demon can't help it is a great follow up book. Erika and Vittorio are a great couple and the mother is a loon, and the I love my son sooooo much was a little disturbing, but again good read.

I Want You To Want Me by Kathy Love

"I Want You To Want Me" is book two in Kathy Love's vampire series following her earlier 'Fangs' series. Love's books have a healthy dose of humor combined with a bit of mystery and action to make for a very enjoyable read.

Erika is an artist who recently moved to New Orleans...because her fortune teller told her to. Yes, she fully believes in all that 'psychic mumbo jumbo' and she can't wait to meet the Prince her psychic has predicted for her.

Vittorio is trying to avoid his new neighbor. Not because she's not pretty...she's gorgeous; not because he's not attracted to her...he can't remember ever wanting a woman this badly; but because every woman he's cared about or helped keeps ending up dead...and he's very afraid it's his psycho lampir mother who's to blame. But whoever is stalking his women already knows about Erika, so surely the only logical thing for Vittorio to do is keep Erika close...really, really close!

Sexy, fun, and humorous...with demons, and werewolves, and vampires, oh my!

Vampire romance fans will enjoy this amusing tale

Allegedly Erika Todd insists she moved to New Orleans to be close to her recently married friend and to jump-start her career as a sculptor. In reality she knows she moved because her fortune teller, known for accuracy, insisted she must starting with her now house mate, a black cat. The only thing that has not happened yet is finding her true love.---------------- She is attracted to her neighbor Vittorio Ridgewood, but he avoids her like she has the plague. He knows he wants her too, but the two century old vampire has sworn off mortals as they die leaving him forlorn grieving is not worth the short time he would give away his heart. His perspective radically changes when his stalker abducts her.---------------------- The sequel to ANYWAY YOU WANT IT is an entertaining paranormal romantic suspense romp. The fast-paced story line centers on whether Erika can persuade Vittorio that he only has fangs for her she fails until the ¿matchmaking¿ kidnapper forces the issue albeit deep into the plot. Vampire romance fans will enjoy this amusing tale between the immortal and the human sculptor.----------- Harriet Klausner
