Editorial Reviews

BUST Magazine
Kenney's tale is lighthearted but fascinating....Her attitude is, overall, strongly woman-positive, and her spunk and enthusiasm leave a clear, fiery impression on her readers.
ChickClick
...reader-friendly, sexy, and at times hilarious.
Pleasant Gehman
Shawna Kenney's memoir I Was A Teenage Dominatrix breaks down the proverbial closet door, proving that "good girls" can go "bad", and not only emerge unscathed but richer both monetarily and through experience gained. Focusing on the S&M subculture and her role as a paid mistress, she not only provides prurient thrills, succulent professional tidbits, and painfully funny anecdotes the accent, of course, being on PAIN be warned that this book is probably not for the faint of heart!. This book is a page turner, a riveting romp with intellectual as well as sexual content. This is no vanilla attempt at erotica or sterile study on sexual perversion -- the blood, sweat and tears of real-life experience rings through loud and clear.

"I didn't sprout black hair and red fingernails overnight. I was just plain sucking being a waitress at the Italian joint. . . No one told me there wouldn't be many good-paying full time jobs for a seventeen-year-old with a smart mouth."

    It's not what you think . . .

I didn't think this book would be funny but I laughed my way through it. I guess it's the way the author tells you about all these screwed up situations she gets into, I totally related.
