All Music Guide - Bradley Torreano
I Will Be Here: 25 of Today's Best Wedding and Love Songs is a collection of songs meant for a wedding. Each song here is tailor-made for the occasion, from Joshua Kadison's sentimental tribute to unconditional love, "Beautiful in My Eyes," to the poppy bounce of the Avalon/Aaron Neville track "By Heart, By Soul." This album is obviously meant for a special occasion and should be viewed as such. And as a wedding songs album, it is pretty solid.

    Songs out of context

These songs are all beautiful, in lyric and performance. ''Love of My Life'' and ''If You Could See What I See'' are two of my personal favorites. But I was appalled at the choice of some of the other songs. As someone very familiar with contemporary Christian music, especially the praise and worship genre, I can assure you that ''I Could Sing of Your Love Forever'' and ''Can't Live A Day,'' among others, were definitely written to and for God and not a spouse. It is common to take secular pop love songs, change a few words, and turn them into worship songs, so I am not surprised that the worship songs sounded like love songs. But, without diminishing the importance of a lifelong love between people, I think the artists would agree that God is truly the one who is essential to this life.

Good Selection of unique ceremoney music

I really like most of the music. Some sound quite secular so would not be able to be used in most Catholic churchs. Over all it is well organized and inspired me to seek out a soloist. It even tells you which songs have tracks available. That is very helpful for your soloist!
