The Australian-born singer made it easy for contemporary Christian fans to fall back in love with her on I Will Praise You, her first offering in six years. The album's lush, upbeat worship pop is a return to form for St. James, the popular singer who ventured out into other prolific side interests, including writing and acting since her last studio album, 2005's If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something. I Will Praise You first and foremost features her voice, a heavenly blend of equal parts powerful and soothing. She is able to effortlessly float between her upper and lower registers amid layers of transcendent guitar and synth that sometimes create dance-pop beats (as on "Shine Your Glory Down" and the title track) but more often than not find her squarely in command of powerful worship ballads like "Almighty God," "When the Stars Burn Down," and "The Kindness of Our God." They are meant to be sung with arms raised and voices shouting along, though the album incorporates a refreshing amount of pop sensibility as well. Though Praise may not be her most daring effort, it's another solid album from one of gospel music's most well-known artists.

Music that will MOVE your soul!

Looking for some variety in your praise and worship music?

Try "I will Praise You" by Rebecca St. James latest CD for Christian Praise and Worship music. Sounding very similar to Amy Grant, she offers such an inspirational mix that will literally have you singing to the songs after the listening to it just once.

My all time favorites on this CD are Shine Your Glory Down, a pop like mix that will have you wanting to dance to it.

Another great worship song is You Still Amaze Me. I was complete taken to a perfect place to spend time reflecting on our Savior.

Another great song is The Kindness of Our God which kind of has a celtic vibe to it that I love and found myself singing along even though it was the first time I heard it.

Rebecca St. James has such a soothing voice that you will want to purchase more music by her. I received this CD, I will Praise You, compliments of Rebecca St. James and Propeller for my honest review and will be listening to this over and over again. This one is a 5 star worship album.

    Sweet and Touching!

Come and join us at the Rebecca St. James Listening Party on Facebook. Go here to share a preview of the new CD with family and friends.
I really enjoyed this CD and will for a very long time. I've never really listened to Rebecca's music before and sorry I missed so much. She has such a sweet, honest quality to her voice. You can tell she really means what she sings about. If you're a Rebecca St. James fan you know what kind of treat you are in for and if you're not, you will be after you listen to the CD I Will Praise You.
Five of the songs on this CD were written by Rebecca St. James. She is such a talented young lady and what makes her so much sweetest is her Christian testimony.
On the back cover of the CD Rebecca wrote this and I think it's very special, "Our mission statement as a ministry team is to serve the church and point people to Jesus. We remind each other of this at our band devotions before our shows and as often as we can we pray that this album will encourage you in your journey with God and that it will draw you to worship him! Thank you for supporting this mission by being a part of our ministry. Keep Seeking and serving Jesus, Rebecca St. James."
So what do I think of this CD? I think you should buy one for yourself and give others to your special friends and precious family members. I highly recommend I Will Praise You by Rebecca St. James.
