    WOW! WHAT A STORY!

Wow! What a story! The author does an incredible job just reeling you in, in the first couple of pages. This certainly was a powerful book that I wasn't expecting. Don't be put off by the fantasy fiction hook as the love of Sid and Alexandra is so tender and sweet and their longing for each other, so heart breaking make this the ultimate love story. You get drawn into the intense love and also loss of these very memorable characters. This is a clever plot, very human characters and a compelling read. I was absolutely riveted and by the last chapter I wasn't bothering to wipe the tears away!

If you love an engaging love story with a lesson, in a realm of believable life after death, like I do; if you crave a new set of characters to get to know and love; you will thoroughly enjoy this wonderful novel! It is one of the few pieces of written art dealing with the afterlife that does not have a gaping logical hole that makes the whole thing not believable. The book triggers the full gamut of emotions. The very last chapter, the crux and ultimate moral to the story, is the one that makes you pause and become very still.

Would you rather know what your future holds and wait forever for it, or would you rather not know, and discover it only as it comes? I've been thinking long and hard about that question. This one backed up my vision of the afterlife and gave me great hope for our future.

This is about savoring time, enjoying the moment, paying attention to our destiny and most of all about love, a fearless commitment to love. This is an extraordinary novel with a unique premise, an exploration of the unknown where the seemingly impossible becomes possible. This is how fragile life is, how we have to learn to live in the moment, to remember what really matters. The characters of Alexandra and Sid are painstakingly, gracefully drawn, in both strength and vulnerability; an excellent tale that also touches on real relationship issues and the bond between us all.

If you love movies like, SOMEWHERE IN TIME, TIME AFTER TIME, and HEAVEN CAN WAIT then you will totally LOVE this book!

    COMPLETELY ENCHANTING!

The ultimate expression of human longing, short and sweet, magical and completely captivating, I WILL WAIT FOR YOU is simply delightful! The subject matter fascinates me. Like many great books, this one defies categorization. This book isn't for everyone due to the subject matter, but.the narration of this novel grips the reader first from the beginning, then its beautiful descriptions of Colorado and Ireland place you in Alexandra and Sid's shoes. A magical journey where every human being speculates, imagines, questions and prays for, weaves us a marvelous story.

This story has such an esoteric and haunting quality that it would be a crime not to let oneself be captivated by it. A truly "Timeless Romance", the ecstasy of love and the tragedy that it seems only fleeting on earth gives us hope that the "real thing" does last, not only on earth but forever. If you are enchanted with rapturous euphoric love, you will enjoy this book many times over. I have never read a book which made me feel the main characters' hopes and desires as strongly as if they were my own. I was wondrously lost in each page. Is Sid's death ultimately the only way for these unrequited lovers to be reunited? This is a beautifully poignant love story in which the longing they have for each other is palpable. A bittersweet sadness permeates the later pages of this book, as Sid and Alexandra pass through life, each a shadow on the consciousness of the other. One only hopes that they find in the hereafter, what they were denied in this life. What one's desperation, coupled with the conviction of true love, can do to change everything you know about life. Pirrung writes to the heart and to the heart of the matter. The characters, the aura, this book was filled with tragedy, hope, determination, and especially a lot of LOVE. This is one of the reasons that I like Pirrung's work so much, I know I am always in for a ride. Sid finds that life, as he knew it, had irrevocably changed and turned out to be the catalyst that changed his immediate reality. The effect that this has on him, his life, and those whom he loves is what gives the book its substance. It is this altered reality, however, that makes his new life more meaningful and bearable. The ending delivered a great twist that left me speechless but with a sense of satisfaction, bittersweet, to some, maybe, but beautiful, euphoric and ultimately romantic to me. The characters are alive and real; the settings are irresistible and enchanting. The great disappointment to me was that when the book was over, I had no magical way to stay in the world it created for me..except to read it again.
The author is good at prodding the reader to look past familiar, past assumptions and expectations, to try to see, like turning black and white into Technicolor, like going from numb to feeling and experiencing. She produced a sense of euphoria, a sense that everything will be okay, no fear, a sense that when we die God will REALLY be there, waiting with all of our loved ones and that LOVE WILL NEVER DIE!! Pirrung has a gift for "What if" kind of stories that are evocative of daydreams that somehow seem possible.
I wouldn't dismiss this book because it is listed under "fantasy" or because it is a love story or because it could be listed under "paranormal". . If you are a hopeless romantic, this one is for you! I see life in a whole different light. Pay attention to whispers you "think" you hear!

    ?? What in the world?

I am confused as to why anyone would like this book. 4700 measley square foot house, one guy driving his Lincoln. Those diamond cluster earrings and matching necklace. The long description of one awfully decorated house unless you like satin and bows. Ugg who the heck cares about this womans love life. She is shallow and boring. And the book is 131 pages, that is not a novel. I would suggest skipping this one. Wasted money.

Not what I thought it would be

It was okay not really my cup of tea, so to speak. The story of that kind of love was nice but there was too much other "stuff" like describing the house in detail. I am certainly not a published author but the book seemed written by a novice writer.

    How exciting!

I really enjoyed this little book. I am into anything spiritual or paranormal. The love story was beautiful and the paranormal experiences were so real and believable, not far out science fiction. The opening page grabbed my immediate attention and there was no way I was going to put this one down. I also loved their escapades in Ireland. How exciting! A real page-turner!

Reaffirms The Fragile Nature Of Life! A MEMORABLE READ!

A memorable read! This is a love story, a mystery, and a Fairy Tale come true. How profound the masterful words are in this novel about dealing with love that comes only once in a lifetime and for the frantic search for peace....and finding it. How poetic and brilliantly moving! The author's amazing descriptive talent has the power to transform fear of death into one of unequal love. This novel is so beautifully written, clean and eloquent...no ugly slang or inappropriate language. I've heard some bemoan some of the spiritual aspects of this book but that's one of my favorite features! How wonderful to experience the beauty of life and the hereafter from Alexandra's first person perspective! It was totally life-affirming to me, amazingly deep and insightful! I loved the heavenly narrator! It was hypnotizing! Thank goodness this wasn't just another "bodice-ripper"!

I was fascinated by this charming escape exploring in depth a world so unlike my own. There is a magical realism quality which encompasses this haunting tale. It is a bittersweet but at the same time so terribly romantic, reminiscent of Somewhere in Time and books in that caliber. This probably is not for everyone but I found it so satisfying in so many ways. After Alexandra’s unexpected death it might surprise you how completely enjoyable this book is. I was sad, in a way to reach the last most satisfying page. This is a hopeful, moving story, told with incredible sensitivity and depth. I give this book five stars.

This novel won't please readers who are looking for quick action

This novel won't please readers who are looking for quick action and thrills. It starts off with a very intriguing first person voice from heaven that pulled me right in and kept me completely awed. This one isn’t for everyone but if you have a fascination with the spiritual part of life then this will thrill you to death. This is a relatively gentle novel which nevertheless prompts us to give serious thought to the morality of the decisions we make and our everlasting existence. The writing is done quite well and is almost photographic. I was transported not only to another way of life in beautiful Ireland but also into another dimension where I could observe a three- dimensional world that was for all intense and purposes not supposed to be there. Love is everlasting. “Dying” on earth is nothing more than leaving one road for another and the love we feel for someone continues on and we really never lose the people we love. This is a beautiful love story.

    A Rare Sweet Treat!

I received this novel as a gift. This book took my breath away. I was gripped by the first paragraph and found myself tingling with excitement, not action excitement, emotional excitement. I found the aspect from heaven comforting. This book gives you so many things to ponder on so many levels. This was a delightful journey that stirred emotions deep within my inner-most being. The depiction of life ever-after is my vision and belief in black and white. We dare to dream of such peace of mind and it took away that little inkling of uncertainty of the here-after. The concept of relief wrapped tightly around my mind and heart and hasn¿t let go. There¿s no pretense or moral superiority. I like that the author doesn¿t use profane language as so many authors do these days. Although fiction, the depth of reality and feeling in this book is the essence that makes it believable. The subtle, silky nuances of every sentence gripped me in a way that I felt every sigh, every tear. A tranquil ride,a great concept, majestic, haunting, beautifully written and it was amazingly poetic! After loaning it out twice, I decided to buy a few for gifts. I recommend highly!

You Will Lose Yourself in This Novel

The author leaves you haunted with the enchanting images she paints. It¿s her eye for detail that engrosses the reader. i found myself removed from my earthly view of things and hurled into a spiritual, Heavenly, Peaceful, accepting point of view, thanks to the depth and intricacy of the characters that Pirrung weaves. i will carry this love story deep in my subconscious, and pull it out every once in a while reminding me to savor every moment. Although at times heartbreaking, it is ultimately a settling and beautifully written novel. The story is such a wonderful concept. The author does a wonderful job of bringing this idea to life with her captivating characters. She created characters you can¿t let go of. A touching story about never letting go keeps you filled with suspense and curiosity. This is invigorating, and sad while simultaneously reminding you how fragile and wonderful love and life can be. This is a glorious exploration of grief, love and life ever after. This book has been passed around to my friends who also raved about it.

    Inspiring love story

This was a beautifully written story of love that will be an inspiration to all who read it. Through the incredibly detailed descriptions of each setting and character, I could feel the love and pain just as they were each experiencing it. Incredibly engaging and captivating story!

    Memorable..Whimsically Imaginative,,,

I was so affected by this book that I couldn¿t pick up another book to read for two months! It was so touching that after reading it, I was so absorbed in it that I wanted to continue to bathe in its glory! It was pleasantly haunting and so believable! I found this book to be so beautifully written, (aside from a couple of minor edit mistakes), dreamlike and poetic. I just finished reading this book a second time. The first time I rushed through it to get to the conclusion. The second time, having gotten the anxiety out of my system, I read it to enjoy the beauty of it. The author foreshadows everything in such a subtle way that you are almost shocked to realize there was no great surprise at the next turn of events. If life is defined by only what we see, our dearly departed remain in the past. But if life is defined by our intermittent recognition of our departed loved ones¿ ¿presence¿, they remain with us and eternal. This is a story of a man¿s unwavering love and devotion to the woman he loves and the trials they both must endure to be together. It was a joy to read! Beautiful, enchanting, unique, other-worldly, and wondrous are words I¿d choose to describe this novel. I loved it so much, I bought hard covers to give as Christmas Gifts.

BEWITCHING TALE AND UNIQUE VANTAGE POINT

I loved the way the author portrayed a man who had heart enough to love only one woman and would grieve for her until he joined her at last. On entertainment value alone, I¿d say this is a stunner! It is a captivating tale that holds you spellbound from the first paragraph. This book is so addictive that you¿ll be engrossed in the tale, and become thoroughly immersed in the characters¿ struggles that everything else you HAD to do, will no longer be so pressing. You¿ll live through their triumphs and tragedies as the author weaves the characters together to create an even more engaging adventure. The sensual writing seeps into your soul and keeps Sid and Alexandra forever haunting your dreams, day or night. It depicts the intensity and beauty of their love over unparalleled obstacles. A language of sheer beauty and passion reveals an understanding of the deepest human emotions, and finds an easy path into the reader¿s heart. The lush imagery, the colorful background and history of it were mesmerizing and played a huge part in the magic in this lovely novel. BREATHTAKING! A MUST READ FOR EVERY ROMANTIC!

This haunting masterpiece was written with such splendor and magic beauty, that I was mesmerized. Love endures all. Super enlightening!

This was a very encouraging and enlightening book. It restored my faith in human nature and touched my heart in places that I thought didn't exist. I've always been fascinated by the spiritual rhelm and this story served to enlighten me enough to make me feel a heightened sense of well being and hope for what ever the future may bring. The superb love story goes to show you that waiting for the person who really knows your heart and soul is well worth the wait. Besides the indescribable euphoric feelings I felt while reading, it was very well written, sophisticated and informative. I feel now as if I'd actually visited Ireland and Colorado and at some point understood the French language. Fabulous read! It's staying on my shelf for when I need a pick-me-up!

    Awe-inspiring

This is just the most beautiful love story. I love the characters and what they stand for. There is so much value in the characters and the story that every page I turned I was a part of their inspiring world and I felt almost euphoric. I was dreaming the most beautiful dream that I didn't want to wake up from. I wanted to be Alexandra and experience her sensuality and her love of life, beauty, quality, art, and Sid. One quote sticks in my mind that I totally related to, 'I've found in you how terribly important it is to me that I'm completely known and understood.' That is so profound! Something that should be at the core of every relationship, that we all feel but never put into words is pushed aside because we're all too afraid to demand too much for ourselves. Connection, values, dignity, integrity, peace, validity, desire, inspiration, informative, are words that come to mind. The settings were painted so beautifully by the author's words that I had no trouble getting a full visual, as if this was a movie I was watching and the background places were very interesting and really added to the romance. This is a book I will read again and again. It's a great read!
