Editorial Reviews

Misty Baker
Incorporating the sarcastic humor of say… “Shaun of the Dead” and the desperation of “28 Days Later” Wallen managed to blaze a path that felt both original, and undeniably refreshing. Opting for sarcasm over pure terror made this one of the funniest books I have read in a while, and in doing so, captured a (very highly coveted) place in my zombie hall of fame. My advice? If you, (like me) love the “anger management-ly challenged” this is MUST read

    The best yet

It was really great. The suspense was awesome and the story along with a great new idea of why zombies want brains. I highly recomend it to zombie, vampire and ghost story readers.

    Great!

Interesting, thrilling, real. Very clever through the narrator's eyes... Definitely worth the late nights, chomping through the book.

A DIFFERENT TAKE ON THE ZOMBIE THEME!

I really liked this book. Told through the character of a recently in feted journalist, it has all the creepiness for a good zombie tale!

    Great Read!

Really enjoyed this book! I read a lot of books, and love mystery/horror and zombie books. This is one of the best I've ever read. Kept me turning the pages to the end.

Jacob is a likeable hero. Lots of humor, some graphic horror, but very well written.

I've kept this on my Nook and plan to read again.

    Ok i Guess....

I love zombie movies. So i was hoping to really like this book, but i didnt. Started off great and interesting, but then started getting slower and slower towards the end. I only finished because i hate not finishing things.....

    Not my favorite

Aside from the fact that isn't very well written, and the story seems to drag in some parts, it has more fowel language than is needed to efficiently express the main characters thoughts and frustration of the situation. A good writer doesn't have to use this kind of language to make something exciting and intense. There are also moments where I just wanted it to get back to the story instead of going off on boring memories or facts...he could have at least made the side stories more interesting. Overall, good story, but could have been written much better. Also, he should have made the main character more likable.

    Good read

I liked this book. Very good for being free. I thought that the author couldve gone into more depth relationships wise. Either way, I enjoyed this ebook.

    Interesting and suspenseful...

I truly enjoyed this story...as someone who likes "zombie" stories its sometimes hard to find one that can get you engaged enough to stick with them as this genre can easily slip into ridiculousness but this story had just the right human quality to keep a reader turning the pages...well worth reading!
