    Great Starter

If you are interested in starting Japanese swordsmanship, this is probably the best to start with. Iai will help teach you the drawing of the sword, the wiping of blood off of the sword, the return of the sword, and some basic fighting kata's. This book has excellent drawings of steps and full descriptions of steps. The only downside to this book is that Iai doesn't teach what to do with the sword after it is out of it's saya, 'It's like putting on a tuxedo and not going anywhere.' Darrell Max Craig.
