Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Melissa Joy Adams
At first when Manny discovers he is going to become a dad, his two best friends, Diego and Sid, are extremely excited. But then Manny becomes so busy preparing for the baby, his friends feel neglected. When Manny becomes overly protective of the playground he is building for the baby and will not let anyone else play in it, his friends feel even more snubbed. With hurt feelings, Sid and Diego march off to find their own families. Sid succeeds by adopting a dinosaur egg, and when it hatches the baby dinosaur wrecks Manny's playground and brings the momma dinosaur into their end of the jungle. After the momma dinosaur kidnaps Sid, Diego and Manny have to work together in order to rescue Sid. On their treacherous journey, they meet new friends and encounter strange new dangers from which they may not escape. Fans of the movie and reluctant readers will enjoy this easy-to-read story.
