Meet the Author

Russ Ferrett is an avid traveler. He visited and explored every site featured in this book and he or a member of his family took all but one of its photographs. His travel, along with 40 years of teaching geography and history to children, makes him eminently suitable to write a book of this breadth. He has also written When The Earth Moves: Earthquakes and Volcanoes in this series.
