Overview

Book 3 in the Nature of Desire series. They call her the Ice Queen. At the exclusive BDSM club known as The Zone, Mistress Marguerite is a legend. Tyler Winterman has been fascinated with her since he's known her, though the rules of their world say they shouldn't share more than mutual admiration. He is her male counterpart, one of the most powerful male Doms practicing at The Zone. Due to a computer error, Marguerite lacks the mentoring program stipulation required of all Zone Doms, which includes spending a number of hours learning about BDSM from the submissive's perspective. Tyler considers it an act of fate that Marguerite chooses him to be the Dom who helps her fulfill that requirement. He is convinced she is a "switch", a closet submissive, but the truth will be even more remarkable than the theory, changing their lives in ways neither of them anticipates. Having no equal except one another in their skills at stripping a sub's defenses bare, these two Dominants will turn their considerable talents on each other and discover that who is Master and who is slave doesn't matter, not when two souls have found their mate. Note: This book contains a stark portrayal of the intense BDSM lifestyle. Some of the situations and scenes may be disturbing to some readers. It is not for the faint of heart.

It is a book #2 of the ice queen

You have to reed first book first. Good but the end , the last 100 pages , are dragging, too much repetition.

    Hm

The first part of marguarites story isstrong, but i felt this shouldve been kept to one book. The second half of their story alternates between being boring andbeing disappointing. That said, i love this author. I jyst wish id loved this story.

WARNING.....NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!! This book is one of the most emotionally wrenching books I have ever read, to the point where I actually jad to take a break and walk away for a few hours to let things digest. That being said, few authors have the ability to create a story as powerful as this. Jowy W Hill is just that kind of author and The Ice Queen is most definitely that kind of book. If you have any appreciation for the power of a great love story this book is most definitely for you.

    Loved it!

Favorite series! This is a fast read that leaves you wanting more which is good since #4 picks up right where this leaves off. These books are a bit dark but make perfect sense, it just isn't dark for darkness sake.

    Worth a read!!!

I do preface this with the caution that you must like Joey Hill books and be comfortable with BDSM. This book does not skimp on anything, the horrendous background of the heroine, and the getting to know oneself through letting go in BDSM. With that being said, I loved the characters, the story line, even though it was an uncomfortable one. You love Tyler's persistence in not letting Marguerite getting by with surface platitudes. Joey W. Hill definitely writes a story you remember and want to keep reading more about. Makes you want to read the next one that much sooner.

    I Also Recommend:

    Hill out does herself again...

Ice Queen is a dark and sensual read that leaves you wanting more when you have to put it down to take care of the dishes or vacuum the floor. This book has depth and character that so far off all the authors I've read (and I've read quite a few) Hill captures the best. Hill's insight and interweaving of the tales and subtle hints along the way as to what happened in the past is breath taking. I DO NOT recommended this book to anyone who doesn't know what BDSM is without looking it up. Ice Queen has some heavy emotional baggage as well as some hardcore BDSM.

    Erotica/suspense

Wow! Another great couple in the making. I loved Tyler and Marguerite and I cannot wait for the next book in the series to pick up where this has left off. So much so that I will have to get the other books in this series. Joey Hill has a way with relationships as well as the sexual content that goes beyond just the basics. Once you start reading Joey Hill you will want to explore all of her series. Enjoy!!

    I Also Recommend:

    Too much for me...

I enjoyed Joey's Vampire series so it wasn't the graphic sex scenes or adult violence that turned me off. This book and Mirror of my Soul (the second part) has detailed accounts of child physical and sexual abuse. I had diffiulties with adjusting from the more pleasurable parts to the dark nightmare sections, so I skimmed the book to see how it ended. Liked the charactors and the basic storyline so it could have been good. I feel that she just went to far for me.
