This publication contains two novellas from Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld series (also known as the Sisters of the Moon series). "Shattered" is a novella that has never before been published. Told from Camille's perspective, the novella is about the night Menolly to her family's home in Otherworld, shortly after being tortured and turned by the vampire Dredge. It takes place after the events of the novella "Etched in Silver" and before the events of Witchling. "Ice Shards" is a novella that was previous been published in the anthology Hexed, and the story is told from Iris' perspective. Iris is the soon-to-be wife of leprechaun Bruce O'Shea, but before they can get married and have kids, Iris must confront her past. With the help of Camille, Smoky, and Rozurial, Iris travels to the Northlands to prove her innocence and have the curse placed on her by the temple Elders. The only problem: Iris isn't sure that she is innocent. This novella takes place between the events of Blood Wyne and Courting Darkness. Overall, I enjoyed both novellas. "Shattered" is pretty short and although most readers of the series will be familiar with the events of "Shattered", I liked being able to see the scene as it happened. "Ice Shards" is a longer novella, and though it doesn't have the complexity of Yasmine's novels, the story is still suspenseful. I also loved learning about Iris' past.

It was all you buddy. You were the one leaping in and trying to take charge when you didn't know what the eff you were doing. Seriously, you would have never found chaos without ME. I was the one who found him. So, yeah. Goldthunder and everyone else told you time and time again that you were getting in the way and to back off a little, but you didn't listen. And you got mad because we called you on it. So dont put 'turned your back' in quotes. Because you betrayed all the clans and no one will ever forgive you, traitor.
