Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Janis Flint-Ferguson
This story is an adaptation of an episode of the popular TV show, iCarly. In this episode, Carly and best friend Sam engage in their first real fight. To celebrate their becoming friends five years previously, Carly has made a special t-shirt for her friend. Sam, however, has not yet gotten a gift for Carly and so tells her that she will get tickets to the Cuddly Fish concert. Of course, in order to get those tickets, she has to give up her new t-shirt. Carly had spent a good deal of time making the t-shirt's design and is not happy that Sam has given it away, not realizing that Sam did it for the tickets. The girls refuse to talk to each other, and their cable show is in jeopardy if they cannot sort things out. It becomes Freddie's task to help them do just that. Fans of the show will enjoy the written version, which includes photos from the episode. The text provides a chapter book experience and leveled reading to help engage young readers in reading as well as watching the show. Reviewer: Janis Flint-Ferguson
