Overview

“Uttering lines that send liberals into paroxysms of rage, otherwise known as ‘citing facts,’ is the spice of life. When I see the hot spittle flying from their mouths and the veins bulging and pulsing above their eyes, well, that’s when I feel truly alive.”

So begins If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, Ann Coulter’s funniest, most devastating, and, yes, most outrageous book to date.

Coulter has become the brightest star in the conservative firmament thanks to her razor-sharp reasoning and biting wit. Of course, practically any time she opens her mouth, liberal elites denounce Ann, insisting that “She’s gone too far!” and hopefully predicting that this time it will bring a crashing end to her career.

Now you can read all the quotes that have so outraged her enemies and so delighted her legions of fans. More than just the definitive collection of Coulterisms, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans includes dozens of brand-new commentaries written by Coulter and hundreds of never-before-published quotations. This is Ann at her best, covering every topic from A to Z. Here you’ll read Coulter’s take on:

• Her politics: “As far as I’m concerned, I’m a middle-of-the-road moderate and the rest of you are crazy.”
• Hillary Clinton: “Hillary wants to be the first woman president, which would also make her the first woman in a Clinton administration to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office instead of under it.”
• The environment: “God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, ‘Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It’s yours.’”
• Religion: “It’s become increasingly difficult to distinguish the pronouncements of the Episcopal Church from the latest Madonna video.”
• Global warming: “The temperature of the planet has increased about one degree Fahrenheit in the last century. So imagine a summer afternoon when it’s 63 degrees and the next thing you know it’s . . . 64 degrees. Ahhhh!!!! Run for your lives, everybody! Women and children first!”
• Gun control: “Mass murderers apparently can’t read, since they are constantly shooting up ‘gun-free zones.’”
• Bill Clinton: “Bill Clinton’s library is the first one to ever feature an Adults Only section.”
• Illegal aliens: “I am the illegal alien of commentary. I will do the jokes that no one else will do.”

If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans is a must-have for anyone who loves (or loves to hate) Ann Coulter.

I think Ann Coulter is EXCELLENT- and so is this book!

Ann Coulter may be irreverent, but she tells it like it IS, Democrats-- not like the fantasy world you live in, but the TRUTH, unadulterated and factual. Ann, you are brilliant-- a gem!

Don't read it if you can't handle the truth

Another great book by Coulter with the usual witty flair and what could well be termed, dagger like intensity. People who don't care for it fall into two basic camps. First, those that don't like to the point commentary that doesn't deal in fluff, or second, those that can't handle the basic truth when they get nailed by it. For them, a smooth lie is better than the truth any day of the week, and Ann deals in truth. Great read.

Terrible, awful book......and I'm an Independent.

This book is awful. Zero facts, just endless, mindless whining. Each theme of this book is completely unfounded, with no factual support whatsoever....don't waste your time or money. And I'm an Independent.

    HORRIBLE

Ann Coulter is an uneducated, unsensitive idiot. This book is an example of what little she knows about politics. She is one of the many who believes and preaches the propaganda and lies from fox news.............and if republicans had any brains they'd be democrats.

    It's only words

The people who buy this book and then are upset about her opinions should know where she stands by now. It's a book!! Go read your wacky blogs instead of a real book. She has a real knack for the ironic and a rapier wit that really seems to set off the lefties. Get over yourselves and try to enjoy the many humorous lines in this book.

    I am disgusted

I have to say that this was a very immature outlook on world issues, such as global warming and taking care of the environment! It's not a joke. None of the things she writes of are meant to be jokes, and thus they are not funny, unless your outlook is this childish and ignorant.

    hmmmm

As a republican, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of valid documantation, reason, and overall understanding of anything this woman writes of. This book should be titled 'If Ann Coulter Had Any Brains, People Wouldn't be Ashamed to be Republican'

This 'author' will write and say anything to sell books. She personifies everything that is wrong with American politics. If readers have a brain, they won't read Ann Coulter.

Don't waste your money on this book

Ann is an angry and pathetic woman who spews venom and hatred. The Republican party should be ashamed of this wicked woman. I don't understand why she is always dressed like a hooker.

If people have a brain they won't buy this book

This book is another of the Republican hatred books spewed out by a loud mouthed insensitive hate monger that makes a living by attemping to spread her hatred. Anyone with half a brain won't want to read this garbage.

Oh to be able to write like Coulter. Brightest, smartest, full of wit and sass, knowledgeable, fearless, she says all the things I wish I could verbalize and she hits the nail on the head 99% of the time (99 because no one is perfect). I adore people so smart that the left goes all wonky! She speaks TRUTH and they can't stand it, so they repeat lies that actually applies to them, I LOVE IT! God Bless you, Ann, for sharing your constant wit and truths with us and being brave and fearless enough to give us TRUTH in the face of all the left's lies and idiocy. They don't even REALIZE that their lies are PROVABLE!

Do you want truth ?? You will get it here. If you read Coulter, and are open minded or a Conservative, you will never be disappointed, and you will have another brilliant, favorite author to add to your library!

    Insults and rudeness.

It amazes me how many books, that have been written by conservative authors, take the line of ridicule and rudeness. Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck are incredibly arrogant and sling insults around like confetti. They do not do anything other than show how shallow they are.

A Best of Book for Ann

Ann Coulter has made many best sellers and this is one of them. She takes all of her best quotes and applies them to subjects that have been a focus for her views in politics. Most are funny and most poke fun at the left wing of the isle and mostly, I am sure, she gets in trouble for what she is saying bluntly and mostly because it was said in a 'mean' context (Inside joke in the book). A really good read if you never have read anything of hers and a best of for the rest of us.

    Another Great Book!!!

I have been reading Ann Coulters books since I was 15 years old and ten years later, I still think that she is brilliant and funny. No surprise - this is another fantastic book and I can't wait for the next one.

I really enjoyed reading some of the other reviews - especially the ones that admitted they had not read the book. Uninformed sources are useless and misleading. When you can't read, you should not write a book review and stoop to personnel attacks about the person¿s looks or attire - very childish. Now the book: It is satirical, funny and will make you think. It is an enjoyable read. What else could you want?

All Dems and Republicans should read this book

I think this book should be required reading by all who plan to vote in 2008. It will do much to uncover the twisted thought process of Ann Coulter. This book will bring more people to the Dem fold. As with all her books, it is based on witty phrasing and cruel words. I encourage you to read this and once you digest her words, think twice about the party the supports this kind of narrow mindedness. There is no discourse here only small words written by a small mind for great dollars.
