    an enjoyable fairy tale

In 1788 an unknown adversary abducts Lady Penelope Wherlocke and sells her to a brothel. Meanwhile friends of Lord Ashton Radmoore arrange a final tryst at a brothel before he marries. He is stunned to find a drugged Penelope, who allegedly can see ghosts, waiting in the room for him. She recognizes him as stepsister's boyfriend.

However before he can act, a horde invades the room as the Wherlocke friends and family rush to rescue Penelope. Unable to move on and forget the woman, Ashton investigates the kidnapping and sex sale pondering who could harm a caring innocent woman nurturing ten boys As he falls in love, he wonders how to end his engagement and persuade Penelope she is his beloved when he mocks her paranormal gift as a sham.

The second Wherelockes Georgian paranormal romance (see If he's Wicked) is an enjoyable fairy tale with several major subplots and a horde of strong support characters, but anchored by the Cinderella lead female. The story line is fast-paced from the opening kidnapping and never slows down as readers wonder whether Ashton will prove to be Prince Charming or If He's Wild using the beleaguer heroine for a last fling.

It was just as I expected

I read several books a week. I'm always excited when I find a new Howell book just as I love all my other Author's. I do agree with several others who comment about the book. It is not her best but surely not the worst book ever. I believe it created a scene that served a purpose to the reader, it left the reader feeling satisfied with the romance. It's almost the reason why you watch most sappy movies, it's to put yourself in a mood that even when you feel the worst you keep hoping for the best. This is a definate rainy day book.

    Not her best :(

I am a huge Hannah Howell fan, but unfortunately this book comes nowhere near her wonderful writing style I so love. It started off confusing and somehow this book never grabbed me. I finished it only in the hopes that it would "come together". It just never quite filled the bill. Sorry Hannah hopefully this was just a fluke and your next one will rock as all the other one have.

    Awful

This was such a bad book- the worst romance book I have ever read. If this is how Howell's other books are, I will never pick up another of hers.
It starts off in a confusing manner, jumping around and nothing that really grabs your attention. From the first five pages, I would have been able to tell you the entire plot- and when I got to the end, I realized I was right.

The only reason I finished this book was because I was in a non-english speaking country and couldn't find another book to read. This book was boring, predictable, and a waste of good money. I got rid of this book as soon as I could- I definitely would not reccommend this book to the discerning reader.

    So so

I usually flock to Hannah Howell's books. I was not excited about this one at all. It was slow, predictable, no intensive romance betweeen the two characters. Started out very promising, and went down hill. Sorry Fans.
