God Bless the Goldmans

This book is a fascinating read for anyone interested in the psychology of a narcissistic psychopath. You just sit back and are amazed at the rationalizations O.J. creates, and how he truly believes what he says...but it's those little verbal slips he makes that are most intriguing! I read a lot of true crime, and this book, although deemed a 'hypothetical' confession is right in line with those stories told by ciminals who are happy to brag about what they did. I bought this book because the money went to the Goldmans and to the Ron Goldman Charity. I watched all of the trial. There was never any doubt in my mind that O.J. murdered Nicol and Ron, so I didn't need convincing...but all the evidence is there...straight from the murder's mouth.

For the OJ obsessed!

This book didn't seem to me to be a confessional like it was portrayed in the media, not that I expected that. It shed some light on the case and it was 'sensational' just as I expected. Basically I got just exactly what I expected to get, OJ Simpson's side of the story, just like you can buy everyone else's side of the story! It was very entertaining. I couldn't put it down!

Support the Goldman's- buy this book!

I was absolutely against O.J making a dime off this book! I would take a stand against reading it & putting money into the pocket of a murdering psychopath profiting by ending the lives of 2 people! BUT, then I saw the Goldman Family on Oprah & I believe Dr. Phil's show also. They talked about how they felt some vindication when they were able to take the book rights away from O.j. They encouraged people to buy it & the proceeds will go to the Goldman's & fulfilling the Civil Judgment they won against O.J. In turn the Goldman's would give proceeds to their lawyers who would fight to get O.J off the streets & make good on the civil judgment he lost. Unfortunately that's the only justice the Goldman's will ever get. They sold me & any little part I can play to give my support & get a murderer off the street - I'M IN! I am proud of the Goldman's & how they fought! It wasn't easy for them but I'd like to think if I were in their shoes I would have fought that hard for my family!

Don't waste your money

This book was a big disappointment. There are no revelations (he conveniently blacks out during the crime and doesn't remember anything). This book is nothing more than a forum for a wife beater to trash the woman he abused for years and a continuation of his 'poor me' routine. There was nothing in this book.

What an Idiot

When this trial was going on I was in the 9th grade. I did not follow it of course b/c I was being a typical 9th grader, you know: Boys, Music, Fashion and Homework. Some of my family members spoke about it and watched it on T.V. Whatever I heard or seen was just in passing. When this book came out I remembered the case and decided to pick it up and read it. After reading it and only going off of what I read and not the actual information from the trial first. I am convinced that this SICKO Did It. And now he is going to jail for 6 years for the other crap he was caught in last year. I say that's what he get's b/c he thought that b/c he got away with thing, he could get away with another. Not so BUDDY! Karma is MF'er.

Sure he did it.

This book gives a glimpse into the mind of a person who won't take responsibility for anything he does wrong. He blames his ex-wife for his actions and wants you to feel sorry for him. Read this book and you will see the real O.J..

O. J. confession speaks to you!!!

Aside from the fact that O.J. tries really hard to blame Nicole for everything and destroy her memory as a caring and beautiful person that she probably was... The book is incredible! It is a confession of a killer who can´t take reponsibility for his actions like a man would. The book shows him as a lost soul who uses the blame game, has no compassion nor repentance and only concern is to save himself from ruim. The Goldman's actions to vindicate Ron´s death are Outstanding and must be recongnized here. Congratulations to you for your never ending love and commitment to Ron. I hope my family love me as much as you love Ron.

The worst love story EVER!

I was expecting more of a stroy line, not a long, boring love story of O.J. and his many women. Personally I can see why people may have got upset with chapet 6, but honestly the book inhaled deedly! lol I thought how O.J. talked so much of Nicole and Paula, and just 'Blaked Out' to kill Nicole was a horrible let down. Personally

I really enjoyed the book

I checked this book out from my local library.I have to say that I really enjoyed the book.Reading this book actually makes me wonder what his motive could have been and I am definitely on the fence now.It was nice to finally hear his side of the story. I recommend this book if you've ever been interested in OJ's thoughts concerning the murder of his ex-wife.This book may or may not sway your opinion in regards to his guilt or innocence. I could'nt put the book down!!!

Not a good book

While the tragedy of the OJ Simpson case remains as a vital part of recent history I fail to see the validity of this book. It doesn't add much to the record that exists. This book does not help further the body of knowledge on this topic. It just completely misses the mark. Of course, all of us regret and mourn the senseless loss of life. This is the ultimate saddness here.

An amazing work of fiction!

This amazing book is worth every penny! Too bad the actual author is not receiving any credit and the money is being stolen from him. Think about it.. He was already tried for the murder and found not-guilty. If he truly did do it there is no reason why he wouldn't just say so. He cannot be tried again for the crime.

Waste of my time

I 'm not sure why I even bought this book. I guess I wanted to see if there was anything I hadn't known about. I'm glad the Goldman's are making money off this waste of time, to spend reading it. I feel like I deserve a refund.

Typical OJ.... lots of lies with a little truth thrown in

Whether you're too young to know the details of this case, or you were as appalled by his aquittal as the majority of us were, this book is a must read. For everyone else, I highly recommend it. Hardly a true historical account of the facts, considering the main part of the book comes from OJ himself, it gives one a chilling glimpse into the mind of a 'malignant narcissist' and a cold-blooded killer who feels no remorse and takes no responsibility for his actions. Sections by the Goldman family and the ghostwriter who interviewed OJ are more revealing than the rantings of a man who got away with murder, literally.

Put him under the jail...

I have to agree with most, it is not really worth reading for any other reason other than to find out WHAT REALLY HAPPENED! The ego maniacal 'Main Character, namely OJ) finally trips all over his self and tells how he did it. I am so glad that the Goldmans are getting the money from my purchase. I had refused to buy this book until I found that out.

Trash talk

If you like to listen to an egomaniac who blames everyone else for his problems through just plain filthy trash talk, then you will want to read this book. Otherwise, buy the book if you wish in order to send him a message and donate money to the Goldman's. After reading the book, it is easy to see why Orenthal James Simpson will refuse to ever give them a nickel and will continue to go out of his way to cheat them of the judgement.They will never see a dime of the judgement any other way.

Once, in being questioned about some commment in his first autobiography. Simpson said that he had never read the book. The same seems to be true here. First, he gives himself an additional motive for the murder. Not jealousy, but the irrestible urge to silence a whining bipolar woman whom he thought was a bad influence on his kids. Driven-to-the-wall nuts like many a murderer before him. Second, as Sam Goldwyn would say, it's 'chock full of omissions'. Simpson presents the murders as spontaneous, and gives a reason for happening to have gloves and a cap in his car. He does not explain why he was wearing black dress socks and thousand-dollar teal shoes with a midnight blue track suit. In reality, of course, he wore dark socks to minimize the show of blood, and wore a pair of shoes he had decided he disliked and had not often been seen in. 'But he had worn them at least once, since a picture of him wearing them had been published in a magazine 6 months before the murders.' He says that he talked with a fan at the airport about his Hall of Fame ring, and there was no cut on his ring finger. THEN he reproduces his first police interview in which he admits he cut his finger in L.A. and the cut opened up again in Chicago. Mr. Simpson, please read the books you 'write'! He invents an accomplice called Charlie, a casual acquaintance who just drops in on a first visit to tell him Nicole was doing immmoral things. He and Charlie rush off to Nicole's house and Simpson does the deed while Charlie stands guard. This Charlie never comes forward and leaves no trace at the scene. Charlie also takes Simpson's bloody clothes right at the crime scene and ditches them, although when limo driver Alan Park saw Simpson run into his house, Park did not mention that the man was in his underwear. Simpson unwittingly explains what many people have wondered about: how he could take on two people. His malice, element of surprise, physical strength, probable high on crystal meth, and weapon were enough, but he tells us he knocked out Nicole first, killed Ron, then finished off Nicole. Thank you, Mr. Simpson. He claims to have been blacked out or amnesiac about the actual murder. Some peole have ridiculed this, but according to Connie Fletcher's WHAT COPS KNOW, it's a normal reaction for an amateur murderer, who is generally traumatized be what he has done. In other words, the blackout story makes the notion that he killed them MORE, not less, convincing. In case you're wondering, he says he never once hit Nicole. Not ever. He talks about his freeway ride, but fails to mention the many thousands of bucks and the false beard he was carrying. He forgets about apologizing to Nicole's corpse at the wake. He insists that he was emotionally wholly through with Nicole and was willing to talk to her ONLY about the kids, yet tells her mother, 'I loved her too much [to have killed her].' Her death, more than his fall from grace, drives him to consider suicide. He gives up the notion of suicide abruptly when he hears Dan Rather say that the cops had been out to Simpson's place five or six times on domestic abuse calls. He is so angered by this lie that he peps up and vows to fight. Read enough? The book is an interesting curiosity, and sales will finally benefit the right people. Go ahead.

I REALLY wish that the Goldman family had added facts to the original manuscript! I mean this all happened SO long ago...I just wish that I could base what the hypothetical was to the actual!! But I found it very interesting & I am very proud of the Goldmans never giving up!!!

Glad the money for purchasing this book goes toward the Goldman family and not the killer, aka author!!!!!

Excellently Written

This book will haunt you. Excellent read if you love true crime stories. I not only wonder how OJ lives with the fact that he committed such heinous murders (at some points he seems to actually boast)- but how do those lawyers sleep at night knowing they defended a cold blooded killer? My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the children, as well as the Goldman and Brown families.
