Meet the Author

Kate Noble love books. Romances especially. But, being born into a family of doctors, scientists, and mathematicians, she didn't discover she was adept at writing until, oh, about junior year of high school. Which came as something of a relief, as she was hopeless at memorizing the Latin names for all the bones in the human body. The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle eludes her to this day. Kate lives in Los Angeles.

Loved it.  I love the way Kate Noble writes.  Her characters are always friends first and then fall in love.  This one may start a smidge slower than her other books, but it is just as good.

Sped read through most of it. Couldn't stomach false, rude Sarah. Lieutenant Jack seemed to waver between the strong, silent type and the blushing bumbler. The intrigue wasn't too engaging. And the only interesting character was revealed much too late in the story.

Sarah Forrester is having a tough time facing the ton after she broke off her engagement days before her wedding when she realized that Jason loved Winnie [Follow My Lead]. Philippa Worth [Revealed] helps her to become the Golden Lady, toast of the town, but she’s more like burned toast to her family and especially sister Bridget. Even Jackson Fletcher, naval hero, and longtime family friend, finds Sarah brittle and shallow. Meanwhile Sarah has captured the attention of smarmy Le Comte de Le Bon [sic] with his mysterious Burmese servant, in town to introduce his stepsister Georgina to society. It isn’t until Jackson decides to impersonate the infamous Blue Raven whose escapades entranced the teen-aged Sarah that the story finally takes off – and in ways that Jackson couldn’t have possibly anticipated. Yes, he has rocked Sarah’s new world with his passionate kiss (Jason’s were gentle). But, he’s stepped into the affairs of Marcus Worth, brother of the real Blue Raven and the mysterious murder of the Head of the War Office. Once he’s enlisted to work with the Worth brothers to find out more about the Comte (a newly energized Sarah helps, too) the story and the characters began to engage my interest.
