warm historical romance

Geoffrey Fenwick wants his daughter Anne married immediately. Though she has no takers due to her crippled leg, Geoffrey feels her large dowry should prove enough incentive to complete the deed. While visiting Artane, a fortress that Anne loves, Geoffrey makes it clear that Anne will marry soon. Anne only wants Robin, the heir to Artane, but he has hidden from her as if he is ashamed of her appearance.
Robin has just returned home after fighting overseas, a place he hid after suffering a humiliation in front of his beloved Anne. He wants to tell Anne he loves her, but cannot find the words. Instead, he is harsh with her, making it even more difficult to tell her he loves her. Complicating matters is a plot to kill Anne, Robin, and his siblings.
Lynn Kurland always provides her audience with an exciting tale and her latest medieval romance, IF I HAD YOU, will enhance her reputation. The story line is crisp, fast-paced, and provides much insight into early twelfth century life. Though readers will have no empathy for the inept Robin, the audience will root for Anne and Robin¿s siblings to succeed. Overall, sub-genre fans will enjoy this warm historical romance.
Harriet Klausner

yet another wonderful book by Lynn Kurland

'If I Had You' is a wonderful book. Once again Lynn Kurland has proven that you can mix romance, humor, and mystery to create a 'can't put down' book. I always appreciate how her books can be very romantic and even sensual with out being crude and 'dirty' This is a must read book

    The best!

This is by far one of the best novels that I have ever read. And I have read thousands...I'll be purchasing a new copy soon. My original is so worn out from a dozen or more re-reads! Robin de Piaget is a classic hero that charms the reader througout this book and each of Kurland's subsequent (and one prior) novel! I alternately laughed and cried outloud at some of Robin's exploits. Robin's penchant for a 'wrestle' against anyone at anytime is adorable. To be able to follow a character throughout his lifetime by blending familial novels together is a true talent! BRAVO!!

A good clean romance. I enjoyed this story better than the first

A good clean romance. I enjoyed this story better than the first one. It makes you realize how personal image is developed at an early age and how difficult it can be to overcome it. It is frustrating at times to see to what extent persons will go to in order to hide what they think to be their weakness or not let others in when they feel themselves lacking.

The story was sound and the setting good. I was satisfied when the secrets were revealed. A feeling of completeness in the end.

Not as good as Nine kingdoms but I will read more.

Lynn Kurland is a great writer

This book is a little harder to get into, but it seems to be evolving. I am reading this now, yet its not her best work. She has a love story going on, but not sure how it will fester. Knowing that Robin and Anne do marry, it seems to be taking along time of irritating areas in the book that seem to have the same likeness. I hope it gets better. In her writing, I know it will, but I wish it would hurry up.

    a great read

I have only read about four or five of Ms. Kurland's books, but this was one of the best. It was a little sad at times, but I liked the ending and other parts were really funny.

    A Lynn Kurland Winner

I love Lynn Kurland's writing. She keeps your attention all through the books. This Book If I Had You was great. I completely enjoyed it. If you loved her other books you will love this one. She tells a story about Anne , who has an injured leg. This is a love story ,that says even with a bad leg and not being perfect that you can still have the love you always wanted. It tells us to have courage.
