About the Author

Kay Williams has been writing blogs and newsletter articles since 2016. She has had an avid interest in history since high school. Before graduating from Fairport High School in 1989, Kay authored her senior paper about the bloody battle of Vicksburg. After being a nurse for twenty-seven years and caring for her special needs kids for eighteen years and being married for fourteen years, she uses creative writing to escape. Kay obtained her bachelor's degree in religious education in 2014 at Davis College in Johnson City, NY fulfilling a long-time dream for higher education. She has taken a keen interest in Scottish history and took a class from the University of Glasgow that discussed the rise and fall of the clan system. Later Kay was accepted to Liberty University Online to work on her master's degree in history focusing on the contributions of the Scots and Scots Irish in New York State during the 17th and 18th centuries. When Kay turned fifty years old, she wanted to make her book-writing dream come true. She did a lot of fun historical research and wrote If Not for Love... One of many books from Kay's full imagination and need to write them down. Kay is currently a member of the New Scotland Historical Association and Vice President of the Central New York Scottish Games Association.
