Keeps you on the Edge of your Seat!

This is my first Lisa Jackson novel, and I am very impressed! This novel keeps you on the edge of your seat, and makes you want to keep reading no matter how late into the night it is! The characters are good, and the major conflict of the novel is excellent! The only thing that I didn't particularly like was how you didnt find out what is going on until the VERY end of the book! All in all, a fantastic read, and I recommend this novel to fans of the thriller genre! Its hard to put down!

    Exciting romantic suspense

In California, the man standing on the road flashed a mirror at the woman driver, causing her to crash. He escaped, but left behind her passenger dead, her unconscious, and the driver of a truck near death.

Six weeks later, Marla Cahill remains in a coma at San Francisco¿s Bayview Hospital. Although comatose, she can hear her spouse Alex, her mother-in-law Eugenia, and her teenage daughter Cissy talk. She recognizes no one and is shocked to learn she has a newborn. Alex turns to his brother Nick, who fled his relatives for Oregon, to help with Marla and the failing family business. Nick reluctantly agrees though he hates seeing his former lover even if fifteen years have passed since Marla dropped him for Alex. As Marla regains consciousness, she begins to regain her memory, but none of it coincides with what her family believes. Worse yet, she is falling in love with Nick even as someone plans to finish the job that failed on the road.

IF ONLY SHE KNEW is a taut romantic thriller that proves how talented best-selling author Lisa Jackson is. The story line has been used many times before, but Ms. Jackson injects freshness through Marla¿s behavior. The climax is also obvious, but does not take away from a strong, suspense-laden tale starring an intriguing cast of characters.

    I Also Recommend:

    Excellent read!

I would totally recommend this book. It was refreshing, more compelling than so many of the tired mystery writers who write the same story. fresh to have a female protagonist in this situation where we are trying to figure out what's going on till the end. I couldn't put it down! I would recomend this and Van Rae novel, for romance, mystery and a great read.

    Ridiculous

This book took too long to pick up and the scenario was way too far fetched. All previous reviews say they were shocked about ending. I dont know why? I saw it coming a mile away. I was very bored and had to force myself to finish it. And i only did that to make sure i was right!

    Held my interest

This was my first book to read in entirity on my droid. The book held my interest and storyline was good. Parts were predictable but with enough red herrings to keep me from knowing with certainity til the end. Author nicely positions the real culprit early in book, but the outcome is still a surprise (though not a shock.)

I fully recommend this this book.

This is a good story that keeps you turning the pages. A easy read, with enough twist and turns in the story to keep you guessing. You can clearly get into what is happen to the main characters.

    Hated it.

Character depth was lacking. The romance between the hero and heroine felt icky, the hero getting it on with who he thought was his sister-in-law for 95% of the book. And the feelings he had were based upon a prior relationship with a totally different woman. We could have discovered the heroine's identity earlier in book, and let the relationship develop with the right intentions and motives. Instead I felt the reader was lied to until the very end; there is a difference between suspense and misleading your reader.

Excellent! Just when you think you know who did it, it's not! An absolutely must read. And the sequel - Almost Dead - is excellent too! You have to read that one if you read "If She Only Knew".

Not very believable. A bit over the top

Okay, this was too much for me. Actually more of a romance, rather than a mystery. While the main plot had possibilities, it was too unbelieveable as it progressed. It did not drive me to find another book by this author. And, likable characters?- Slim to none.
