About the Author

Arthur Stuart-Menteth Hutchinson (1880–1971) was a British short-story writer and novelist. He was born in India to English parents. He initially planned on becoming a doctor, but decided to leave medical school to pursue writing. His most successful novel, If Winter Comes, was a year-long best-seller and later made into a movie.
