Drawing from a lifetime of lessons learned, seven-time Emmy winner Betty White's wit and wisdom take center stage as she tackles topics like friendship, romantic love, aging, television, fans, love for animals, and the brave new world of celebrity. Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Welcome to the Betty White Renaissance! In truth, the now 89-year-old, former Golden Girl has never gone away, but in the past two years, she has won a Primetime Emmy, hosted Saturday Night Live, posed for her own calendar, debuted a clothing line, and appeared as a guest star on numerous shows, including 30 Rock and Community. In this adventurous update on her ongoing autobiography, she shares wisps of wisdom and stories of her octogenarian activities. Slyly profound; heartwarmingly winning. (P.S. Mother's Day is May 8th.)

Library Journal
More Hollywood anecdotes, plus insights on issues like love, sex, television, and celebrity. White is hot, and not just in Cleveland; last May she became the oldest person ever to host Saturday Night Live after a huge Facebook campaign.

She started out as a writer. "Writing is my favorite thing," she says, and she did NOT use a ghostwriter on this book, at (then) 89 years old.

Is there anything earth-shattering in here? No. Any anecdotes about a secret love affair (well, besides the George Clooney thing)? No.

Betty White is THE person with the longest-lasting active television career - 65+ years. This book is a little bit autobiography and a little bit show biz anecdotes and a little bit personal philosophy and a little bit about animals and friendships and crossword puzzles and aging and love. She's written other books beside this one, and over her 65 years of television, there are MANY other sources, from books to YouTube to online articles to put together a picture of her life story.

If you already like Betty White, you'll still like her when you finish, without feeling that you now know the deepest depths of her soul. Those things she has always kept private, stay private. As a reader, I'm okay with that.

    A Great Read

I'd only read it the one time but even in book format she is gold. It made for a good weekend read. Betty is as charming as always and I do recommend giving this book a try. I'm interested to see if she narrated the CD since she's too funny live. The text is large so its not eye straining at all. I don't see anywhere where it says just how limited edition the book is (and actually the signature looks like it was done by computer) but I guess since there's no difference in price with the regular edition its not a big deal. I just wish I could have gotten it on the nook.
