Ryan’s Book Was Acknowledged by The Writers Digest Merit Award 2000-Received Certificate Of Merit for If You Believe In...”True Love!”
Editor’s Choice Award-Howard Ely Managing Editor-Presented To Marlene A. Ryan for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry, Presented by poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry 2000.
Ryan’s book is simply fascinating...covering so much detail, information on love, life, loss, between the lines of each page. Her book motivates the reader to acknowledge the battle between love and war. That love conquers all!
Ryan’s book also touches on “second chances”, the loss of a love one (her own nephew murdered few yrs. ago)...hope and faith. Many are already using her book as their “Daily Meditation Book.” The “Introduction” to her book is of the up most value.
The reader will be fascinated with the content of her book as well as her photographs taken by the author...her unique style of writing, her empathy giving her the ability to reach and touch your heart. She has a way of opening your mind and heart! Through her book you will experience being able to picture, receive, feel in so many ways the faith, the love, the hope...most importantly “love” the ultimate “gift” that unites us all!
You will find yourself just opening to a page and reading...not being able to put her book down. Some have read it from cover to cover in one sitting...
Her music cd is a compliment to her book, it will take you through so many emotions and you’ll find yourself enjoying the up-beat music as well as the lyrics written from the heart! Don’t miss out on this one!

I never wrote a review before, after reading this book I want to write what I thought about it. I am not one to read something like this about love but it got my attention. It offers alot in the areas of life and love. The author knows what true love is and how it feels that it stays in you mind and how to open up your heart, to say what you feel. Not to be proud, to let love in and not play games. Alot of guys don't get it. Through her book it made so much sense. It has changed my way of thinking and feeling. It really taught me alot that I didn't realize. I think her cd is really great opens the door to so many feelings. I think about my life and the mistakes that I made by not saying how I really feel about things. This book has really changed my life. I want to thank the author for sharing the truth. Like I said I never wrote any kind of review but this book deserves it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I want to start out with her music cd: There are many great songs that stick in my mind. This song Should find and Remember me, So sorry, True love, Day by day, Time for a change, High on a mountain, Cared, honestly they all offer something. The melody is a happy sort and her words very meaninful, in such a good mood after listening to her cd. It inspires me in a peculiar way. I love her book it brings out many different verses and visions of what you would expect true love to feel like. How it can be lost or stolen if you don't take the means to protect it as the author brings out. I hope others benefit as much as I have from reading her book, listening to her cd. It's the best I heard in a long time. I mean it! I am totally into it and have already began sharing it with my friends. It's deep and yet refreshing. I highly suggest it. I felt compelled to leave my review. Maybe you will too.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Author's Book is very open and honest. She stresses you to listen to your heart, for it is as she has stated, 'a Protection.' I really found myself very involved and the further you get into her book the greater or should I say more intense it gets. I would recommend her Book to anyone that would like to look a little more into themselves, certainly has opened my heart to true love by understanding and recognizing what it really is and to follow your heart for it does exist as the Author brings out.I found the Introduction to her Book very informative. I am more then empressed with her talent and writings so different then anything I have come accross as far as poetry, this is far more then poetry. These are stories, meditations, more along those lines, wisdom. Very professionally put together! Her Music CD; which I have listened to many times. You need to, there is so much. Alot to absorb in one sitting. I love the songs: So Sorry, Time for A Change, Believe, Is This How We Parted, Cared, Should Find, High On a Mountain, 'True Love' (great story). Other songs; Ever Since You Left, Remember Me (very moving) Music CD. The Music is somewhat not only exciting but coupled with the lyrics amazing as I again, recommend you to listen to it a few times to get the drift, deep. There are alot of songs; with such meaning. This Unusal Book with Music CD certainly deserves a 5 if not more for the simply fact it takes courage to put something so different out into the Market Place. The Author has done a great job, I give her lot's of credit! Very Well Done! I hope to see her on a talk show soon! Worthwhile and should be shared with the public on a larger scale. Someone who has the knowledge of the industry should take a hold of it and run with it, she deserves to be heard! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I have finally allowed myself to meet someone after reading Marlene Ryan's Book, it helped me to understand that I must listen to my own feelings and to recognize these feelings for what they are! She helps you to recognize so many things. I have so longed to please other people my whole life and it left me feeling empty inside. Now I am doing what makes me feel happy inside and I am now my own person. Her book is full of so much information on so many situations that take place in life. I have taken to heart all that she pours out from her heart and it is working for me! I encourage others to read through her whole book first then pick and choose. Also her Music CD is so expressive and it has touched on so many real happenings, sharing so much love, misunderstandings, faith, and to believe in yourself as an indidvidual with feelings and emotions that are your own and real to you! I have learned alot through her book and highly recommend it to anyone in search of true love! I want to thank the Author for her wonderful insight on life and love and a very rewarding Music CD, very different work of Art on her behalf. Was this review helpful? For anyone who has found or been wounded by love, 'If you believe in True Love' offers an expression for the longing in all of us. Ryan as a pained honest voice that deserves to be heard. When she writes the story of a failed romance in 'Going On', she describes 'Whispers in the dark, hope hangs on a thread. Faith becomes a web entangled in prayers', perfectly capturing the yearning for romance and the ache of its loss. Ryan's poetry is beautifully complemented by the photographs she has included in the book, and a CD of songs that blend the images .It is a brave, creative move to mix the different media. This is a satisfying work of art, melding the poetry, photography and music to express the artistic vision of its author, and satisfy the audience. For anyone who has searched for love, and I think that's all of us, this is a book to cherish. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. For anyone who has found, or been wounded by love, 'IF YOU BELIEVE IN TRUE LOVE' offers an expression for the longing in all of us. Ryan has a pained honest voice that deserves to be heard. When she writes of the loss of a loved one in 'Morgan ', she captures the terror and loss that sudden death brings to those left behind. In these difficult times, her message is achingly powerful. Ryan's poetry is complemented by the photographs she has included in the book, and a CD of songs that blend the images. The different media are combined in a creative, innovative experience. This is a satisfying work of art using poetry, music and photography to express the artistic vision of the author. For anyone that has experienced love, and I hope that is all of us, this is a book to cherish and to share. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. As i turned the pages of the authors life I became intrigued with her writing style. She is open and pure and takes you on an emotional roller coaster of the heart. I felt her pain, joy and her honesty. Her poem 'Sweet Dreams and The Little Things 'is one i like very much. It reminds us in life IT IS the simple things that brings the greatest joy!!!! Finding your True Love and holding on to it is what the book is about. She writes about freedom, love, friendship, loss and longing. It makes you ponder personally on your own life teaching you to cherish and protect those you care about. As her poem 'TIME' states 'if its true love, time is of no concern 'True Love' has a life of its own. Time teaches lessons and enables us to see what we feel and lost, this book is a wake up call to our hearts. I urge all to go out and buy this lovely book. It will give you the courage to Make that call, Swallow that pride, or Follow that Dream to find or reunite again with your True Love. I hope Ryan as the Author has found her True Love. For it made me realize who mine is.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I wanted to know if true love does really exist, the author taught me to follow my heart, to keep on searching and i will find, to not let go, to believe that love is truely out there, I want to thank the author for giving me hope to not stop trying for that one special thing we all can have thats free in life and its love, the ultimate gift, so free so easy and yet so hard to find. But now i will follow my heart and soul and find that true love that waits for me. I'm thankfull that i recieved this special book from a special friend . ( thanxxxx alot ) To tell you the truth i am not someone who's into reading books with poems , but this book is COMPLETELY different . When i started to read it i just couldn't put it away anymore . Let me tell you this: it's 'mindblowing' . It's so intense. Don't judge this book by it's ...... title , don't get me wrong please , it's a very good title , but what i'm trying to say is , don't get the title wrong ...... this is NOT a book for 'lovers' only . This is a book for EVERYONE ... everybody will find his own personal emotions in there. The autor has that very special way to write down all those emotions , it's incredible . And there's not just the poems ( if we can call them poems ... those are MORE then poems ... they're stories ... that's how i see it ) ..... there are many beautifull pictures in it as well . But the real cool thing is .... there's a CD included with very cool music and the lyrics are based upon the poems . I really want to recommend this book to EVERYONE .... I'd say , buy it as a beautiful gift to someone .... but i'm sure if you open it and read a few lines before you give it away, that you will buy a copy for yourself as well . If the autor of this book will read this ( i hope ) .. i would like to thank her so very much for writing this unique book . It made me see things from a different angle ... and it made me look deeper inside myself ... and others . THANK YOU so very much. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. It's not that often you run across something like this book and along comes a music cd, with poems, that become lyrics, then put to music, with an actual band, quite amazing. Facinating, original, I give my respect to the authors writing style, portraying such good sense and allowing me to take MY own journey. Pictures are of nature, brings one closer to what we really need to get more intouch with, instead of this crazy, fast moving world. I am very happy that a book like this was able to reach my inner soul, and help me to see the importance of realizing that true love is precious, yet powerful, not expendable. True love is to be cherished and not taken for granted. I hope the author can re-kindle her loss; for the simple fact, she was willing to open up her heart to let others feel, understand, value, and recognize, and not settle for anything less then the real thing. That in itself is a great accomplishment. Yes, I do believe in True Love! Even more! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I loved the way the author is able to touch my soul and bring out my feelings, which I have had a hard time dealing with. It is a very deep & enlightening book and the pictures where able to bring out my thoughts even more. I ponder on them as I read the poem. The music cd is exciting and the words and music stayed with me. I really am pleased to have the chance to read such a beautiful book. It had me crying and thinking and just opened up my heart, to what love is really about. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I have really enjoyed this unique combination of a book with a music CD. It caught me by surprise by the way it was all put together. Even the pictures in the book as I was reading a particular poem, got me thinking. The music on the CD was very up-beat type of music and the words had me contemplating on each and every song. The contents of the book and the music CD was something I haven't seen before and so I was glad to receive something so different! I myself really liked alot of the songs they were pretty catchy. I can recommend this book and CD to anyone that would like an item out of the ordinary. It is exquisite! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
