All Music Guide
Singer Nancy Marano made a big impression after recording two CDs with accordion player Eddie Monteiro, then seemed to suddenly drop from sight. This big band CD with charts by Manny Albam is the perfect vehicle for her to get wider exposure, whether caressing the touching arrangement of "The Peacocks" or happily skipping along with a waltzing "Cheek To Cheek." The Netherlands Metropole Orchestra has hosted many fine soloists, but this session with guest Nancy Marano is one of their best releases.~ Ken Dryden
