this book makes it plain and simple.It shows exactly what we have forgotten as far as leaders go.The book give great examples of how to get back to being a genuine leader and coach to get ordinary people to do extraordinary things and leave the entitlement gurus in the dust and make a large path for merit.
Author Dave Anderson has a simple technique. He selects from outrageous news stories that he believes show an excess application of political correctness (that is, in his eyes, too much bending over backward to be fair) and uses them to get you angry. Then he offers basic management advice to counter the possibility that you might behave like the folks in the story. His wisdom from the work world is conventional, but he does imbue his text with personality, albeit sometimes negatively. He describes himself as a crusading truth-teller willing to speak out against conventional opinion. In fact, he writes - perhaps just in order to emphasize his ideas - in the voice of an arch conservative: anti-immigration, antiminority and, apparently, intolerant. In other words, Anderson seems quite proud that his politics are incorrect. His short doses of management advice arrive with that flag clearly flying. If you think that political correctness has gotten out of hand, and want to see the pendulum swing the other way, we believe that you¿ll be pretty pleased with this book.

Whether one agrees with all of his ideas or not, Dave Anderson is raising important questions that need to be openly discussed and resolved.
If we didn't live in these 'politically correct' times, the title for this book might be.. 'Back to Leadership Basics' The thread that runs through Dave Anderson's book is the need for honest appraisal and 'no holds barred' criticism as a tool for individual growth. I only wish some of the employers I worked for 35 years ago could have read a book like this. I recommend this book to any person in the position of management/leadership and for those who aspire to the same.
