About the Author

Jennifer is a former elementary school teacher turned homeschool mom. Before studying education she studied studio art with a focus on drawing. After about ten years in the classroom she decided to stay home and care for her children full time. It was then that she began researching alternative education approaches and found resources on forest schools for young learners and a local community that shared those values. Since then, she began drawing again and taught herself watercolor painting techniques that capture special moments in nature with her children. She currently lives in St. Louis, MO USA with her husband and three children.
