    Good Lesson

My son is about to become a big brother. That is why I bought this book for him. It is a great read with colorful and fun pictures. The story begins with a little boy who is so excited to be a big brother but does not understand why he can not play with his brother. His parents are trying to make him understand that his baby brother is too little to play the games and toys be plays. All the baby does at first is eats and sleeps. One morning the boy walks into his brothers room to see him sitting up. He asks his parents if he is old enought to play yet. His parents reply no not yet. He is bummed that he still has to wait. Next his mother decides that they are going to go play at the park but the baby can just watch him play he can not play in the sandbox yet. The big brother is very excited that he gets to interact with his brother. At the end of the story the baby brother takes the big brothers ball and starts playing with it. At first the big brother does not want to share this toy with his baby brother but then he starts to roll the ball to the baby and they are playing and having fun. The big brother asks his parents is he old enough now to play with me. The parents say yes and the big brother is very excited that he finally has a little brother he can play with. I think this story teaches a very good lesson. My son will hopefully understand after reading this book that he may not be able to play with the baby at first but before too long he will have a friend he can play with whenever he wants to. This author did a magnificant job at telling this story.
