Chapter One

Hi! My name is Chopper and I'm a dog. I visit my doctor if I'm sick or injured AND just to make sure I'm healthy. Going to the doctor is easy!

First, I check in at the desk.

That's my friend Alyssa!

That means I say hello.

Then I sit on the scale so my doctor will know if I ate too much peanut butter.

I like to wag my tail, so my chart says I'm 9.55 pounds wiggly!

After I sit on the scale I pick a book to read in the waiting room ...

My doctor's office has my "tail" of adoption!

... and read it with Mommy while I wait for my name to be called.

When my name is called I go to a little room to wait for my doctor. Her name is Dr. Raymond. Since I'm a dog, she's called a veterinarian.

Waiting can be REALLY boring, so I'm always happy when my friend JJ comes to visit. She knows just the right spot to scratch behind my ears!

Soon Dr. Raymond arrives and says hello.

She's not JUST my doctor ... she's Zig's mommy too!

That's Zig!

Then it's time for my check-up. First she listens to my tummy with a cold necklace called a stethoscope.

I think my tummy just barked at her!
