Meet the Author


A manga artist for over ten years, Yuu Watase's debut came in 1989 at the age of 18 when her short story Pajama de Ojama (An Intrusion in Pajamas) appeared in the monthly Sh?jo Comic manga anthology. Since then she has written and drawn some 50 volumes worth of different short stories and long-running manga series, including the fantastically popular Fushigi Y?gi, also available in English from VIZ. Her works have provided the basis for two television series, an OVA series, anime soundtrack CDs, and a string of novels.

    OUTSTANDING!!

    I love the manga. I'm kinda sad that its the last volume, but I'm so happy for Tanpopo and Koki. They are look so cute together. I nearly cried at the end.

    this is my fave manga! its perfect for anyone who wants to read a cute love story about two highschool kids! i totaly recomend it! its sad cuz now there wont be anymore koki and tanpopo but atleast theyre together sorry if i ruined it...

    GREAT BOOK

    this book is great when i found out what happens between Tanpopo and Koki i cried because the end it was like a letter and at the end they meet i really did cry it was so touching but i didn't get the two other stories but then i reread them then i got it kinda

    i love this book sniffle sniffle

    awe i just reread this book after like ferever of not reading it and well its so sad i cried...i will truly miss this book sniffle sniffle i luahed and cried and any other emotion you can think of wuith this book including mad because it ended...i recomend this book for anyone who loves a cute funny story...

    Outstanding and sweet!

    I loved the last volume of Imadoki! Koki and Tanpopo are finally happy together! Yay! I think the ending was perfect. Yu Watase has done it again folks! I definitely recommend this series for anyone who likes romance, comedy, and friendship!

    Absolutely brilliant!

    This is definatly one of my favorite titles, and the manga-ka is also one of my favorites. Imadoki Nowadays is simple, yet brilliant. The story seems like just normal tale of high school romance, but it's much more. It's sweet and cute and the main character is strong-hearted and a great character. If you like Imadoki, try Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) or Alice 19th, 2 of Yu Watase's other best series.

    AWESOME!!!

    Wow what a great manga!!! Some of it brought me to tears....i was so wrapped up with the story between Koki and Tanpopo that i wish that i hadn't ended!!! Yu Watase has truly done it again! The ending was so perfect!! I had been searching for a brillant manga and this was it!!!! Everything was perfect in Imadoki...the story, the drawings...etc...I don't think i'll ever find a manga as great as this one...i laughed, i cried..but i mostly loved it!!!

    Yu Watase is outstanding

    This is truly one of my favorite mangas. Miss Watase's outdon herself again. I loved this story. Even the bonus stories were great! I wish the last bonus story would become an actual maanga...oh well.

    Powerful and Dramatic

    The conclusion to the tear-jerking and heart-warming, series Imadoki! NOWADAYS is here! It wraps up all the past events perfectly, and may alleviate the Erika-hatred some people have had. It was uplifting, beautiful, and you can truly appreciate Tanpopo's warm heart to the last page. One of the short stories at the after end of the initial series stars a younger Tanpopo Yamazaki whose friends have come of age. Stirring for those who love Yamazaki-chan, and also informs us that Hokkaido wasn't all 'happy flowers and perfect friendships'. The other story is set in the big city (again) and chronicles a change in the life of a mysophobic teen: when romance intervenes a germ-free philosophy. Hmmm... I can't help but wonder where certain characters (Tanpopo) get the money for a plane flight to Hokkkaido on such short notice? Possibly it's cheaper because they are flying nationally? I guess it makes sense because going by boat would take too long. After all, they *are* in Tokyo.

    Incredible!

    This is one of the best manga ever!I'm usually very picky about books, too. Yu Watase absolutely outdone herself. It was a great ending. I totally cry while reading this book. I definitly recommend this book.

    OMG SO GOOD!!!

    This book is the perfect ending to such a great series! It ends perfectly and is so cute and oh so romantic! The short stories at the end of the book are great, too. Especially the one about Tanpopo's friends from Hokkaido! If you like Imadoki, you should totally get this!

    Amazing finish to an amazing series

    This is one of my favorite series, which means a lot because i like a lot of series :D Imadoki is an amazing, realistic, story and is one of the best i'lve read :D This book has an amazing ending, and then a few short stories afterword

    loved it

    I enjoyed this manga so much. The series captivated me from the very first chapter. I really recommend it, if you enjoy heart warming stories. I laughed out loud, shed some tears and fell in love with Imadoki.
