Whether you are an artist or just like to look, this magazine is great! Digital sub. is definitely better than newstand (but you don't get the dvd).

In trying the digital edition, I was expecting pdf scans of the magazine as it comes in physical form. That is not the case. And you don't get the dvd, as others have said. Still an amazing magazine! But an art magazine with little art? It's worth having the glossy pages in your hands.

The digital edition gets one, often tiny and crappy quality, image per article. If the article is step-by-step look at how a painting was done, you just get a picture of the finished painting at the top. An article on creating memorable characters just had one picture.
The print version is well done. The digital version is just insulting. I am very disappointed.

I haven't ever gotten one of the DVD's, but the digital subscription is great! Awesome art and tutorials well worth $5 a month. Many workshops and galleries are available on their website and youtube. I'll be buying more from them!
