Immigrating to Canada and Finding Employment: A Do-It-Yourself Kit for Skilled Workers under the Latest Immigration Policy: A Step-by-Step Settlement and Job Search Guide

I bought this kit/book for a friend of mine who is planning to immigrate to Canada . I found this as the only complete package of its kind in the market. Apart from do-it-yourself kit and step-by-step settlement guide, tons of information specially the job search part with top interview questions, North American style Resume, job interview practice, job search addresses for every profession and tips. Plus a comprehensive article on Understanding Cultural Shock. Price is very vary low with respect to savings that my friend is going to make as $4000 for professional fee with additional step-by-step settlement and job search guide. I searched the web and surprise to note that some people are selling just the application forms illegally at $US 160/-. I viewed its detailed Table of Contents at www.1stbooks.com Above all this kit has been inspected and approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and authorized by Communication Canada which mean credibility of this package...I will rate this product as A STRONG BUY.

Immigrating to Canada and Finding Employment: A Do-It-Yourself Kit for Skilled Workers under the Latest Immigration Policy: A Step-by-Step Settlement and Job Search Guide

I believe with the help of this book I can prepare my case under skilled worker class by myself but I am surprized to note the employment requirements and job description for hairstylists and Barbers to work in Canada under National Occupation Classification (NOC). I mean 2 or 3 years hairstyling apprenticeship with college program with several years of experience plus various provincial/territorial certification and licensing. its too much. This book gives the real picture of Canadian workplace. I picked a good website for information on small business and I believe I will go for that instead of doing a job.Outstanding book.

Immigrating to Canada and Finding Employment: A Do-It-Yourself Kit for Skilled Workers under the Latest Immigration Policy: A Step-by-Step Settlement and Job Search Guide

I am an Electrical Technologist. My immigration case is already in process under skilled worker class.I was very confused and eager to search help for job search in Canada. This kit has given me answers to all of my question about my job search in Canada. It has given me a road map for job search in Canada. Now I know what I need to do to make myself eligible to work in Canada in my profession and how long will it take me to get there. Same is applied to other forigen trained professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Accountants, Technicians and Trades persons. Its clear to me what are Regulated and Non Regulated professions in Canada. I wish I would have got it little earlier but it is released in March 2003. Not too late
