Advanced Review
I am currently the Director of Social Services at a skilled nursing center. Day in and day out, I visit the families that are broken. What is worse is that families have no place to turn for help. They are building houses without blueprints and no tools. It is not difficult to see why these houses have come crumbling down. But where can they turn for help? I have studied Psychology and Sociology for more years than I could say. I graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Psychology and Sociology, finally completing my Masters in New Mexico. I have studied everyone from Emile Durkheim to Karl Marks to Talcott Parsons. Each of them had their place in time to explain our social world. However, they were missing something. They used Reason and Logic. They used their minds to see everyday phenomena. But the 'Reason' they used has a ceiling, and to them the ceiling of science was impervious. What they had left behind was the heart and soul of society. Every society has one. It has just been neglected and ignored until Now. Joseph F. Voldeck II's Immoral Balance bridges the Mind, the Heart and the Soul. It puts the individual back into society. It turns psychology and sociology inside out by looking at the individuals, their place in society, and the relationship between them in a way that has never been done before. May I emphasize never been done before. He takes all of what the sciences have to offer and adds another dimension, going beyond the superficial. Unlike so many others who stop at the gate, he breaks down those barriers. This book is the interface between where we are and where we need to be. Allow me to explain. When computers first came out, only a handful could actually use them - those in the know. Then along came a man by the name of 'Bill Gates' and created Windows. Now everyone from a six-year old to an eighty-five year old can be part of a technological boom, which had been previously reserved for a select few. Joseph F. Voldeck II does the same with his book Immoral Balance: The Quondam Dream. He brings to the table the answers we all so desperately need and empowers people to use them. Insightfully he shows what is lacking in our lives and how we can get it! Amazingly, the book teaches its lessons through writing that has not been seen since the days of Charles Dickens and Edgar Allan Poe. The vocabulary edifies the audience rather than stupefying them. Poems, Parables, Songs, Allegories and intricate storytelling all work together to transport the reader to this phantasmical place. The pace of the writing is unparalleled. The reader has no time to stop and rest. Not that they would want to .This book is relentless in its journey ' Home'. It simply would be impossible to out read him. As a word of caution, if you miss one stepping stone in this path, you can forget about getting there. Joseph F. Voldeck II's writing is typographically hypnotic. The way the plot unfolds is subversive in that it whispers to the conscious while screaming to the subconscious mind. What I mean by this is that the reader is 'watching' a story unfold without even realizing that the lessons are being taught. The reader will finish the book, and everyday after will experience something, some situation, some emotion will come over them. At that very moment is when the meaning of the book comes to the forefront of their mind. It is that realization that makes Immoral Balance so incredibly powerful. During college I was taught about 'Life' from Psychology textbooks, which is fine if your a dog and your owners name is Pavlov. However, after I graduated, I realized life wasn't so 'neat and clean'- I wish someone would have told me that. This book has the power to alter the thinking of anyone who reads it. Skeptical as I am, this book floored me. It is wildly contagious. Please, do not miss this opportunity to bridge the gap between Theology, Psychology and Sociology - bridge the

Overview
A harsh winter is approaching as The Train of Universal Feelings rolls along the banks of the Silver River on its journey back home. Aboard the train, a tale of love, devotion, and grand reparation is unfolding while many passengers board and depart in the most precarious places.Suddenly, the conductors, Devon and Angelina, become separated when the train is diverted and then vanishes from sight. Prostrate on an old cobblestone bridge, Angelina is approached by a traveler, of no earthly means, informing her that there is to be a trial. There will be a kill in the spirit world. Confounded by this revelation and the distortions of her own internal battle, of a child that could not be ...
