    Great historical accuracy, fun read!

Anyone who enjoys reading about Russian history, particularly its Imperial Family, must read this book. It brings to life some of the characters who live on the fringe of most stories about them.

The most amazing part of this book is the historical accuracy, higher than usual for a novel. The detail of the climatic scenes are straight out of the documented accunts. It is like reading a non-fiction book written from the point of view of an eye witness, who simply seems to have been forgotten by history.

The style is a little simple, but very pleasurable to read. There are some steamy sex scenes which may not be to everyone's taste, but they are rare so don't let that put anyone off from enjoying the over all story.
