“The old woman laughed out loud, unbuttoned her calico shift and let it fall to her ankles. Annabelle kicked free of it, and pulled the pins from her hair. Naked in the moonlight, she whispered his name… “

They thought it was over. The lycans, Joan, Consuela, José and Mark, fought to save Tundra. Now they sit on Topaz’s High Council where they’re feeding the hungry, tackling race riots, rebuilding their world. But a daemon walks the streets by night. He knows about the little girl with the big secret. He knows all about her mirror… and of the ancient evil that’s opened her eyes. A new war has just begun…

"Consider a world in which shape changing and sorcery co-exist with advanced technology. Consider a utopia on the brink of disaster... Author and poet Valjeanne Jeffers and considered all these things and more and synthesized them into two novels: Immortal and Immortal II: The Time of Legend. Her books are a wonder and pleasure."

I've just finished reading Valjeanne Jeffers' IMMORTAL III: STEALER OF SOULS. Like the first IMMORTAL, and IMMORTAL II: TIME OF LEGEND, Jeffers offers up a whole world of werewolves and demons, street gangs and drug addicts, drug rehab, political and social upheaval, revolution, and corporate overlords. Ms. Jeffers adds another great chapter to the Immortal series. Immortal III introduces us to Annabelle, a life stealing daemon who despite her reluctance is pulled into the struggle of good against Evil on the planet of Tundra. Ms. Jeffers prose soars in Immortal III as she keeps you turning the pages with her combination of supernatural action and eroticism. I enjoyed Immortal III and I'm looking forward to Immortal IV.
