Oh look, flashback moments! And wow was it sad but interesting at the same time. And as for the present also, good as well. I don't know if I said it before, or enough, but I really like the art. Yes the story is pretty good, same with the premise, but how can you not like the expressions? Especially for the different emotions going through the characters some of the pages? Very well done. Or maybe the cover just looks good.

I had not expected a full blown flashback to explain a majority of what Rain was at this point in the series, but it made it seem less predictable than how the story was beginning to turn out. You find out who the main character Rain was before, but it also leaves a lot of room for unanswered questions that won't feel rushed in the last few books. I find it somewhat ironic that he was dying before he became immortal and now that he can live all he wants to do is die. Very good, I recommend it especially if you are a first timer because it is very easy to get into the story and absolutely amazing artwork, especially in this one. You can really put the pictures together in your head and have it play forward, quite wonderful.

this is the best I.R. yet! the flashback which takes pace throughout the whole book, practicly, is awesome. telling about how rain became immortal and about that thing with him eating an angel in the first volume is cleared up a bit as to where u dont actually thin khe ate a whole angel....anyways...this is an awesome book, strongly recommended.

the flashback in this book was suprising but welcome. this one talks about how Rain became immortal and what had happened to everyone he cared about, Which includes Machika who had fallen. but the people introduced are new but i still see no reason to have them be more than small time characters.
