I’m always skeptical when an author has written a book that is set in Alaska. Most mess it up. But not this author. She nailed it and she did it with a part of Alaska not a lot are familiar with, unless you are a Deadliest Catch fan. The story starts out with a bang, or crash, and just keeps on going. I read it in one sitting. Granted it’s a short story, but I didn’t feel like it lacked in content or characterization as a lot of short stories that I have read do. I’m very pleased with my purchase and will buy another book from this author.

Adventure, close calls, a plane crash, and two people who might not survive their broken hearts is the creation of Tiffinie Helmer. In few words this author paints a story as vivid and touching as the Aurora Borealis reflecting off a predator's fangs. I am buckling my seat belt, who knows what will come next with this witty, sharp, and detailed author?

I loved this book. The characters will remain with me. Well written, fun, and kept me interested till the end. It truly put me in Alaska in that plane on the tundra in the snow storm. Loved it.

This was a fun novella. I enjoyed the characters. I loved watching them cope with an extreme situation in smart and practical ways. I loved the way they dealt with the past. And the romance? Sizzling, tender, and goose bump-rendering (and not just because they were in Alaska). I am excited to read more by this author! (The teaser at the end was so NOT enough)

Such a great story. Loved the setting, and the heart-pounding action was awesome. Not to mention the romance. What great characters. Helmer is an author to watch!

Helmer takes you on quite a ride in this gut-wrenching tale about how love can defy all odds after a terrible plane crash. They must put aside their differences and band together to fight more than the elements. A suspenseful read.

Definitely an author to watch, Tiffinie Helmer knows her stuff. She isn't afraid to let her characters get hurt or prove themselves in life and in love. I loved this one. I can't wait to read her next.
