"Perfectly imperfect characters and situations make Frame's debut novel sparkle...there's a very real sense of character growth, brought to life by an evolving narrative style that parallels Lucy's metamorphosis. The blend of humor and heart makes for a thoughtful, highly entertaining read." --Publishers Weekly

Lucy London puts the word genius to shame. Having obtained her PhD in microbiology by the age of twenty, she's amassed a wealth of knowledge, but one subject still eludes her-people. The pendulum of passions experienced by those around her confuses and intrigues her, so when she's offered a grant to study emotion as a pathogen, she jumps on the opportunity.

Enter Jensen Walker, Lucy's neighbor and the one person she finds appealing. Jensen's life is the stuff of campus legend, messy, emotional, and complicated. Basically, the perfect starting point for Lucy's study. When her tenaciousness wears him down and he consents to help her, sparks fly. To her surprise, Lucy finds herself battling with her own emotions, as foreign as they are intense. With the clock ticking on her deadline, Lucy must decide what's more important: analyzing her passions...or giving in to them?

My boys wanted to know what I was laughing about. Loved the characters - all of them. Thanksgiving dinner reminded me of my family - and her relationship with her brothers hade me buying the rremaining books in the series. Consider me a fan of Mary Frame's writing and sense of humor. GREAT BOOK.

Lucy is a socially awkward genius. This story about how she steps beyond her comfort zone to connect with "her peers," make friends, and eventually fall in love unfolds like a beautiful flower. She is quirky, funny, sincere and genuine. What's more, she sees beyond the surface of the hot stud on campus to genuinely connect with him, and thus win his heart. This is a little more than your typical romance novella.

I wasn't sure at first that I'd like this book, but quickly fell in love with all characters.

Lucy is a complete social nerd and you cant help but love her and the bluntness she brings. Jensen is an artisticly smart man with parent issues and it all becomes unraveled in a painful way. The story itself is quirky, cute, funny and compelling.

I got this book because I liked the cover art and it was free. It was so good that I could barely put it down. Will definitely be paying for "Imperfectly Legal".

I loved this book. The story was good. Started off a smidgen slow but i wanted it to never end. Love the characters and their stories. Love that the female lead was strong and sweet and didn't change for anyone but adapted to new experiences. I love that the male lead was super sweet. The conflict wasn't stupid and out of the blue and it was redolved very well. Left me wanting more story but that's ok.
