"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here at high stone for a clan meeting." Finally, thought Fernpaw, it's morning. She padded up to their leader, Maskstar, and sat beside him, waiting for everyone to gather. "We have a new warrior to StoneClan. Fernpaw, please step forward." She obayingly took a step forward. Maskstar looked down at Fernpaw's mentor. "Dogclaw, has Fernpaw trained well enough to fulfill her journey of becoming a warrior?" "She has," Fernpaw's mentor said in a deep voice. Dogclaw is the best warrior in the clan, so she was glad to have him as a mentor. Maskstar continued. "Fernpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Fernwhisker. May StarClan guide you into becoming a good warrior." "Fernwhisker! Fernwhisker!" The clan cheered. For the next moon, Fernwhisker trained for the big day to kill Brambleblood. She even invited her friend, Cloudear, to come with her, because she knew that she couldn't defeat him on her own. Cloudear was about as good of a warrior as Fernwhisker. They were a good match. They had to sneak out of camp each night to train so their clanmates wouldn't get suspitious. They had trained for 5 moons now and were ready to go into ChaosClan territory
