    Good Chess

If you want to be good this is a good place to start. Mr Lane is the chess teacher you never had but always wanted. It is for people who can play a bit amd want to win. Chess carttons and jokes make it easy to read but there are lots of gems there. Strictly for winners.

    Easy Chess

A lucid explanation about how to be good at chess. Gary Lane allows the casual player to find out a few tricks of the trade. Predict-a-move is a brilliant idea that I have now used several times. It sounds simple but it works. The fun of learning is helped by witty comments and excellent cartoons. I cannot imagine a better book for giving you a solid foundation on which to build your chess career.
