About the Author

Geoffrey O'Brien is a poet who has also written on lm, pop music, opera, the Sixties counterculture, and the art of reading. His most recent books are The Fall of the House of Walworth (2010), Early Autumn (2010), and Stolen Glimpses, Captive Shadows: Writing on Film 2002-2012. He is editor-in-chief of The Library of America and contributes frequently to The New York Review of Books.
